Facilitator for Unicef in East Indonesia

Background

Target and infrastructure development objectives and means of water supply and environmental sanitation can be achieved by strengthening the system of water infrastructure development supply and environmental sanitation itself, beginning with the aspect planning, implementation, management, and monitoring and evaluation as feedback to determine the success of the program. To that end, should be given support to program managers at provincial and district levels to ensure the implementation of the yielding and efficient.

Support form of technical assistance and facilitation of training carried out efficiently and effectively thus avoiding waste of resources used. Related with efforts to ensure the success of the program in the field, based on evaluation has been carried out, agreed on the need to provide technical assistance in the form of institutional experts in the province NTT, Papua and West Papua. Starting the first quarter of 2010 has successfully recruitment conducted three (3) institutional facilitators province of Papua, Papua NTT West and to execute the facilitation of the working group on water supply and sanitation each province. In conducting the facilitation needed operational support.

Destination Activities
The purpose of technical support:
To ensure the process of strengthening the capacity of the provincial working group referred to AMPL.

Methods Activities
Method
implementation of these activities consist of:
1. Advocacy to all sector stakeholders AMPL
2. Facilitate planning of water supply and sanitation activities
3. Facilitate the development of regional water supply and sanitation networks
4. Facilitating knowledge management AMPL
5. Facilitate coordination with the Center for Working Groups AMPL province and district / city
6. Facilitate monitoring and evaluation of water supply and sanitation sector

Results Activities
The expected outcome of this activity are:
1.Improved regional commitment to the development of water supply and sanitation sector
2.Design and implementation of regional water supply and sanitation strategic plan
3.Establishment area networking AMPL
4.Establish AMPL development of information media as a result of knowledge management activities
5.Improved coordination between Working Groups AMPL central, provincial and district / city
6.Implemented monitoring and evaluation of water supply and sanitation sector development.

Period of Implementation of Activities and Location
Activities carried out during August-December 2011 and will be extended until 2012 when through a satisfactory performance evaluation process.
Location of activities is as facilitator of the Papua and West Papua Province.
