Responsibilities:
Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing and establishing the best relationships with suppliers, ensuring that Hotelbeds is the preferred wholesaler on both rate and inventory and has the optimum contracted terms & conditions in place, in order to position itself as a market leader.
Responsibilities
Act as the key point contact for accommodation supplier vendors to maintain the relationship for matters relating to contracting, operational, commercial or financial activities. Conduct site visits and attend trade shows and workshops to promote the companies values.
Personally manage the face to face negotiations with Suppliers, for the initial purchase quality metrics of the contract and contract renewals. Conditions include the rate, inventory, offers, deposits, release periods, marketing contributions, marketing overrides, cancellation policy, credit terms, pricing model (net or commission) etc
Identify and monitor contractual obligation to ensure that compliance is achieved (customer service standards, Sure2Care Program, data protection, etc) and that the risks associated with any non-compliance are addressed as appropriate.
Understand, analyze and identify Trends and Opportunities over its area´s Trade Report, Destination News, and happenings, including the follow up on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Budget.
Promote the commercial opportunities available to suppliers such as graphic banners, sponsorship, product placement & positioning options, Hotelextras.com, Extras White Labels.
Follow up on periodic Competition Tools and Availability Reports, for both B2B and B2C, in coordination with Yield and Loading Teams, to ensure achievement of targets.
Working with the Yield Analyst to promote the Supplier Web Site & inventory control
Ensuring all required components of products are completed, including but not limited to, purchase contracts, contents, Sure2Care, terms & conditions.
Requirements:
Good academic background, University Degree or Post Graduate, and good general culture
Experience in Tourism Industry in Hotels, On Line Travel Agencies or B2B Suppliers, in positions related to Product or Sales, such as Revenue, Yield, Sales Department, or Hotel Contractors.
Ability to travel, work within a team, and to thrive in a fast paced environment, prioritizing while managing multiple projects & tight deadlines
Strong negotiating, analytical & creative in problem solving
Excellent presence, communication & interpersonal skills. Detail orientated & highly motivated.
Strong computer applications skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and good Power Point is a must)
