JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the General Sales function of the Regional Intervention Business Unit and the identification of opportunities from both an individual Business Unit (BU) perspective as well as a bundled service, multiple BU perspective. Whilst operating very closely with the Business Unit function the Business Development Manager and the General Sales Team that reports to it, are not affiliated with any specific BU. The primary purpose of this role is to build core client relationships to identify opportunities that can either be passed on to BU Managers or developed into a bundled solution. In addition to this the BDM is responsible for the Account Management Strategy and the execution of such across the Business Development client base. New Technology and/or specific services that do not have Business Unit presence in Asia Pacific may also be driven through this function.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to Safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system. Including:
Active participation and contribution to specific safety initiatives in meetings.
Report all hazardous and unsafe acts.
Actively promote positive safety culture.
Adhere to Quality procedure and policies in accordance with the ISO9001:2008 (where applicable) quality assurance system. Including:
Compliance to work instructions.
Raising corrective actions for all non-conformances.
identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit
Complete regular sales calls to key existing customers and developing customers
Develop key business relationships with various levels of the client base as a means to collect competitive and general industry information to provide for the identification of opportunity
Measure and monitor customer visits by Business Development/Account Management Group (BUM’s and General Sales)
Responsible for direction and effective administration of the Client Account Management Strategy and its effective performance across Company Organization


Assume Key account management responsibilities for appointed clients
Collate industry/client information to identify and capture opportunity and communicate to internal stake holders (General Management, Business Units, Operations)
Identify and develop opportunities with PBE Business Units/Technologies and pursue strategies to combine (bundle) services and products
Implement common formats and controls for the generation of sales quotations, proposals and price lists across all Business Units and General Sales
Solicit historical performance data from clients and translate these into marketing information, as appropriate
Develop in depth Market information, in conjunction with the Business Units, analysing total size, share, competitive behaviours (pricing, resourcing…), growth opportunities (organic, technology introduction)
Analysis of Vertical (Acquisitions) as well as Horizontal (Partnership) Growth strategies
Define Marketing Strategy and coordinate advertising campaigns
Represent PBE at key industry and client forum
Plan sales campaigns, in conjunction with Business Units, to accompany new product launches
Direct and supervise General Sales Team Members
Maximize Financial Performance with a focus on revenue and Operating Income
Other duties as directed.


Requirements:
Skills & Knowledge :
Essential
Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil industry
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have established market contacts
General working computer knowledge
Excellent organizational, selling and negotiating skills
Preferred
College degree


QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
Essential
Must have experience in oil industry
Preferred
Supervisor experience

Essential
Ability to communicate with people at all levels
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
24 hour availability must speak very good English
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to work unsupervised
