Short-term Graphic Design Specialist

Chemonics seeks a short-term Graphic Design Specialist for the USAID-funded Indonesia Marine and Climate Support project in Indonesia. The project aims to sustainably manage Indonesia’s marine and coastal ecosystems.

The Graphic Design Specialist will assess PUSDATIN publications and provide guidelines to improve quality, impact and standardization of print media including brochures, factsheets, and newsletters produced by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF).

Responsibilities include:

- Compile samples of MMAF communications materials relevant to particular target audiences;
- Evaluate suitability of the communications materials with respect to design, content, and graphics to needs and preferences of target audiences;
- Conduct FGDs and follow-up meetings to develop a set of guidelines for drafting MMAF publications;
- Prepare draft technical guidelines for marking and branding of MMAF publications (common look and feel) with example templates.

Qualifications:

· At least five years of experience in graphic design and communications.
· Advanced degree preferred.
· Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the technical and managerial responsibilities proposed.
· Strong English writing and speaking skills required.
