Vacany at IDEP

IDEP Foundation as the NGOs that focus on disaster risk reduction and disaster preparedness in Indonesia have facilitated an Earthquake Safe House Program in West Sumatra since the year 2009. The continuation of this project in 2011 – 2012 will focus in area of Padang and Padang Pariaman district in an effort to further increasing awareness to earthquake safe reconstruction and increasing active role to stakeholders and the community to build a house safe from earthquakes. The program will be conducted using strategy of direct community facilitation, media raising awareness, intensive consultation with local communities as well as the distribution of education media to target

communities.

To support the above project, IDEP calls for experienced and skilled resources to fill in the below positions:

1. Program Officer, Location Padang, Work period: 9 months, skilled and capacity as Team Leader; minimum work experience of 4 years working in areas of community development, education, awareness raising activities

2. Village Facilitators. location Padang, Work period: 6 months, minimum work experience of 2 years working in areas of community development, community facilitation education, awareness raising activities

3. Admin and Finance Assistant, Location Padang, Work period: 10 months, Experienced for more than 2 years in NGO financial system, accountability and transparency mechanism, financial tools.

4. Driver, Location Padang, Work period: 10 months. Have license SIM A and SIM C

5. Extension Officers, Location Padang, Work period: 4 months. Compensation for work Rp 5.000.000. Experienced in data inputs, have license SIM C.

General requirements:

1. Computer literate

2. Understand the use excel spreadsheets and office documents

3. Willing to travel to remote areas

4. Able to work in team as well as under minimum supervision

5. Base in Padang and arrange own transportation to location
