INCAS DATABASE OPERATOR

Background
The Indonesia-Australia Forest Carbon Partnership (IAFCP) seeks qualified Indonesian nationals for twoINCAS Database Operator positions based in Jakarta. The Indonesia Australia Forest Carbon Partnership (IAFCP) is funded by Australian Aid and managed by IDSS Pty. Ltd. and Euroconsult Mott MacDonald on behalf of AusAID.

The IAFCP is supporting the Government of Indonesia to develop a National Carbon Accounting System (INCAS). Indonesia’s National Carbon Accounting System (INCAS) will provide a comprehensive and credible account of Indonesia’s land based emissions profile and sinks capacity. It will be a highly integrated system that will compile information from Indonesia’s forestry and agricultural sectors to provide a robust emissions profile from: remotely sensed land cover change data; land use and management data; climate and soil data; growth and biomass data; and spatial and temporal ecosystem modelling.

The INCAS Database Operators will work for the IAFCP facility and work closely with the INCAS Advisor and GOI appointed secondees to the INCAS.


Scope of services:
· Input National Forest Inventory(NFI) data and other relevant biomass data into a database as required.
· Maintain the NFI database.
· Analyse the NFI data as required.
· Participate and contribute to relevant INCAS meetings and workshops.
· Deliver relevant data for the INCAS.


Qualifications and experiences
Diploma degree with more than 3 years experience in computing skills. Must be familiar with statistical software such as SPSS and have computer programming language.
