TNP2K Vacancy: Coordinator for Regional Poverty Initiatives (NTT)

An AusAID funded initiative, the Poverty Reduction Support Facility (PRSF), is seeking applications from highly qualified Coordinator : Regional Poverty Initiatives (NTT). PRSF is a joint project between AusAID and the Government of Indonesia to improve the quality of policy advice for poverty programs in Indonesia.

The Coordinator will support TNP2K (www.tnp2k.wapresri.go.id) to develop a model for supporting Regional Poverty Initiatives, with reference to NTT as the pilot area. S/he will be responsible for establishing a structure and a system (or model) for identifying/mapping non-government regional poverty reduction initiatives in one pilot area (NTT) and matching potential national (non-government) supplies of funds/expertise/management that can support such initiatives in the fields of health, education, basic infrastructure, community empowerment and poverty reduction including :

1. Develop a system and data base for mapping regional non-government initiatives for poverty reduction and their needs for further support in the pilot area .
2. Develop a system and data base at the national level for identifying potential support (technical/financial/managerial) from non-government sources.
3. Carry out dialogue with potential partners for both supply and demand of services/funds/technical support.

Selection Criteria

Preferred Qualifications

1. Masters degree

Experience/s

1, Experience of private corporations
2. Experience of Public - Private Partnerships
3. Experience working with private sector in humanitarian and/or development activities
4. Knowledge and/or experience of working with NGO’s
5. Ideally, managerial experience in the private sector

Interpersonal Skills

Proven record of strong client relations, with ability to work in sensitive situations, challenging policy environments, and within GoI institutions / ministries; demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. He/she should have a proven record of in providing prompt and quality response to client requests. He/she should be able to effectively communicate internally and externally, share information with colleagues, clients, and management. Excellent presentational and writing skills are required.

Team Work Skills

Dedication to work in teams. Able to work very effectively with a range of government agencies, development partners (including donors, multilateral agencies and non-government agencies). A strong record of working across organizational boundaries is required.

Time Management

Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently. Can handle multiple tasks effectively and coordinate a team to meet deadlines; ability to manage uncertainty and adjust to a changing work program

Language Skills

Bahasa Indonesia – native speaker
English language an asset
