Vacant Position in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara: PDRA & AI ASSESSMENT (CONSULTANT)

CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit.

CARE Indonesia in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara is currently recruiting the following position:

JOB TITLE : PDRA & AI ASSESSMENT (CONSULTANT)

DEPARTMENT/PROJECT : PROGRAM/PfR

REPORTS TO : PROJECT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

To assess and define communities’ strengths and assets especially related to human capital, to design appreciative dialogue process that combines PDRA with AI, and to facilitate PDRA process using the combined method.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. The Consultant will recruit a team in accordance to the needs

2. The Consultant will coordinate and supervise the team and the whole process

3. The Consultant will prepare appreciative inquiry interview material and methodology based on baseline results (FGD and survey)

4. The Consultant will existing identify visioning/planning process that have been done by the communities (i.e. RPJMDes, RAM, etc.)

5. The Consultant will develop the capacity of communities’ appreciative team (Tim Kerja) through Field Facilitators

6. The Consultant will design Asset Based PDRA facilitation process (Project for change at village level)

7. The Consultant will produce a PDRA and AI Assessment Report.

8. The Consultant will disseminate the outcome of his/her activity to CARE & PIKUL PfR Team

QUALIFICATIONS

1) Has a degree in social science, community development, or other relevant field; advanced degree is preferred

2) Has extensive experiences and understanding with appreciative inquiry or asset based approach

3) At least 3 years experiences in community development works

4) Has an extensive facilitation skill using asset based approach

5) Hasexperiences with combination of AI approach in various sector (i.e. PDRA, community visioning)

6) Has experiences in designing appreciative dialogue process

7) Has knowledge and experience working in NTT especially in DRR program with communities at Kab. TTS and Kab. Kupang
