The Expert Group of the Voter Registration Initiative is engaging a full
-time Network Engineer to contribute to a team providing network services
to a nationwide user base of several thousand. Under the close guidance of
the Senior Network Engineer this Network Engineer will use their
demonstrated ability to analyze, plan, design and implement network
infrastructure solutions in accordance with service requirements to
constantly improve the level of service and availability of our systems
throughout Indonesia. Our user’s profiles are not only civil servants but
also political party representatives, civil society organizations, and
members of the media. In this role, the Network Engineer will be
responsible to convey technical concepts and recommendations to technical
and non-technical staff at all levels, both orally and in writing, in a
clear and concise style.
*Network Engineer Responsibilities:*
- Install, support, and maintain network equipment and provide prompt
network user support.
- Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of all
network switching, routing and multi service platforms.
- Implement security and quality of service policies.
- Prepare the high availability network system and perform network
backup.
- Use network management and monitoring tools to prepare
problem-analysis reports, resources utilization data, improve network
efficiency and provide recommendations and reports for management review.
- Provide network support to the application development specialists
ensuring their development process is not interrupted by network failure or
network unavailability.
- Work closely with other specialists on the development and
implementation of network services and policies to ensure proper
connectivity and network service.
- Provide technical guidance for technical staff.
- Review the network configuration to devise and recommend effective
upgrades to adapt to improving technology.
The Network Engineer must have a demonstrated track record working in a
intermediate network engineering role ideally but not necessarily in the
software/information technology sector. The Network Engineer will be
engaged with the Voter Registration Initiative for an initial period until
30 November, 2012. It is expected that the role will be conducted on a
full-time basis in the offices of the Infrastructure Support.
