Immediately Required: IT Technology Officer

International NGO seeks an *IT Technology Officer*, Jakarta based.  He/she
will work under the supervision of IT Program Officer and assist with the
daily operation and implementation of an IFES project. The position is
Jakarta based and full time.


IFES is an international, nonprofit organization that supports the building
of democratic societies. IFES promotes democratic stability by providing
technical assistance and applying field-based research to the electoral
cycle in countries around the world to enhance citizen participation and
strengthen civil societies, governance and transparency. Founded in 1987 as
a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, IFES has developed and implemented
comprehensive, collaborative democracy solutions in more than 120
countries.


*Responsibilities:*

·         Maintain desktop hardware, including the setup of new computers,
computer component (e.g upgrades), as well as desktop/ network printers and
copiers;

·         Install operating systems, drivers and productivity software, and
schedule regular software, driver and security updates;

·         Maintain cabled and wireless network connectivity (including the
configuration and maintenance of wireless routers, internet etc);

·         Daily, weekly and monthly server statistic and monitoring, this
will include virus definitions updates and daily backup;

·         In coordination with IT Program Officer perform basic server side
management tasks such as a) creating/ deleting user accounts, b) setup and
maintenance of email accounts, c) maintenance of shared drive;

·         In coordination with the IT Program Officer, install backup
software that performs a) regular background backups from desktop computers
to server, b) periodical backups from the server to an offsite location;

·         Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software related issues
and coordinate with respective technical support suppliers (Dell, HP,
Symantec, Microsoft etc);

·         Provide telephony assistance and or remote client troubleshooting;

·         Supervise IFES’ & AGENDA’s staff on efficiently utilizing the
IFES & AGENDA IT resources for their work (including Google Applications,
Network, Internet and Installed software);

·         In coordination with other staff, collect, upload and update
information into the IFES’ & AGENDA’s website;

·         Support IFES’ & AGENDA’s staff in setting up IT for meetings and
workshops;

·         Other IT task as required;

·         Manage and ensure office’s PABX system is in good shape and
running well;



*Applicants should have:*

·         A degree in information technology;

·         Experienced in web programming using PHP & MySQL;

·         Experienced computer network monitoring and troubleshooting

·         At least 5 years of experience of working in international
environment, ideally with significant experience in implementing democratic
development projects and international program management;

·         Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and oral;

·         A high level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
within a fast-paced environment;

·         Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to
make independent decisions;
