CONSULTANT for Short Course Administration (CRDE - SSE)

The Sampoerna School of Education's (SSE's) Short Courses currently serve primary and secondary school teachers in Indonesia and are designed to increase leadership capacity and improve learning and teaching environments.
Students were admitted for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 academic years;however,the program was temporarily suspended for program development and will be re-launched in September 2013. Two short course programs will be offered: (1) the Teacher Education Program (TEP) and (2) Education Leadership and Management (ELM). The TEP is designed as an intensive one-year study program that will also be offered on a modular basis to provide more choice to participants who wish only to enroll in individual modules. ELM seeks to enrich educators with competencies and skills to become more effective leaders in their schools. In conjunction with Massey University in New Zealand, this course aims to create positive, long-lasting change in Indonesian schools. Those who successfully complete short course modules are intended to be eligible for college credit toward a graduate degree in education from SSE.SSE and the CRDE seek to engage a consultant who will work with the CRDE team as the primary administrator for ELM and TEP and who can also work closely with faculty members of SSE.

Position:
CONSULTANT for Short Course Administration (Especially Teacher Education Program and Education Leadership Management)– Sampoerna School of Education (SSE)
Unit CRDE (Center for Research Development and Engagement)

Scope of Work:
1. Provide advice and insight toward short course curriculum and program development.
2. Coordinate and manage the administration, budget, and reporting for short courses.
3. Create marketing collateral; promote short courses; review the strategy for the marketing of short courses;conduct participant outreach
4. Maintain current collaboration with implementing partners and engage potential new partners
5. Write short course progress/impact reports and develop improved strategy for 2014 short course implementation

Selection Criteria:
1. Degree in Marketing, Education, Communications, or Business(preferably Master Degree)
2. Background inprogram administration and promotion
3. Experience withteacher education
4. Marketing experience, wide networks in education.
5. Ability toidentify program/product strength and weakness; to analyze the visibility of programs, and to map out program markets
6. Ability to work with a very dynamic team in a target-oriented atmosphere

Length of Assignment:
March – August 2013 (6 months) - Part Time

Deliverable:
1. Sufficient number of short course participants to cover program costs
2. Effective and Efficient Program Management/Coordination
3. Development of Marketing Strategies, and Writing of Program Reports
4. 2014 Program Plan

Salary:
Rp.5.000.000,-/nett
