About Us:

Nazava Water Filters (www.nazava.com) is a social enterprise that aims to provide safe and affordable drinking water to everyone, everywhere. Based in Bandung it sells the safest and most affordable household water filters throughout Indonesia and abroad.

As many Indonesians boil their water using either wood, kerosene or lpg, using a Nazava Water Filter means a huge reduction in green house gas emissions.

Through our partner Impact Carbon, Nazava will register its water filters under international carbon credit schemes.

Impact Carbon (www.impactcarbon.org) is based in San Francisco and develops projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Its mission is to improve health and the environment in the developing world through distribution of clean energy projects that reduce carbon emissions. Impact Carbon implements its Safe Water program in Indonesia through Nazava Water Filters.

Job Description:

Nazava Water Filters seeks a highly motivated project officer to help develop and drive Impact Carbon’s Safe Water Program in Indonesia.
The position requires organizational, research, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) field and of market-based approaches to development.
This is temporary position of 6 - 12 months based in Bandung, Indonesia at the Nazava office there. The Fellow will receive additional training from Impact Carbon staff based in San Francisco office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Support local team in design and implementation of project monitoring and evaluation
• Analyze and interpret data from quantitative and qualitative studies
• Support the development of project documentation through research and technical assistance
• Monitor and support on the ground operations of distribution and implementation partners
• Help drive the development and implementation of tracking systems for water products, and other carbon asset tools
• Support the organization of carbon asset related events, such as the local stakeholder consultation

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in a business, development, or environmental related field is desirable, but can be substituted with substantial and relevant work experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Indonesian
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in project monitoring and evaluation is an asset
• Experience in water and sanitation programs is a plus
• Excellent networking and organizational skills
• Computer literacy with Microsoft products
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Highly motivated with the ability to work in teams as well as independently
• Exhibits a high level of flexibility and creativity
• Ability to travel to other regions/islands of Indonesia
