AIPEG: Opportunity for National GED Land Sector Policy Adviser - Jakarta

Agriculture) Adviser***



This three-month appointment is part of the Green Economic Development
(GED) Program support package provided by the Australia Indonesia
Partnership for Economic Governance (AIPEG) to the Ministry of Finance
Fiscal Policy Agency (FPA) on land sector initiatives. The focus is to
support the FPA to strengthen relations with the Ministry of Forestry and
the Ministry of Agriculture and to develop fiscal policies that will
contribute toward achieving carbon emission reduction targets in the land
sector. It is expected that a longer-term contract could be offered in 2014.

The successful applicant will be able to clearly demonstrate:

· A post-graduate qualification in forestry, agriculture, climate
change or other related disciplines.

· More than five years of relevant work experience in governance or
fiscal policy development for carbon emissions reductions in the forestry
and/or agriculture sectors. Experience working with the Ministry of
Forestry and/or Ministry of Agriculture on these topics would be an
advantage.

· A comprehensive and demonstrated understanding of GOI and
international green economic development policy processes, including
potential barriers to implementation.

- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English. Similar
skills in Bahasa Indonesia desirable.
- An ability to work independently or as part of a team.
