Local Consultant for Public Service Announcements (PSA)

International NGO seeks a Local Consultant.  The primary responsibilities will be to coordinate and implement IFES activities related to Public Service Announcements (PSA).

The position is Jakarta based.

Consultancy Contract for 3 Months duration period.

Anticipated start immediately.

Currently we are seeking Local Consultant to help project implementation in IFES Indonesia.

Description

IFES is seeking a Local Consultant – a Media Expert who will work as a PIC to coordinate and implement IFES Activities related to Public Service Announcements (PSA).

The Local Consultant will work closely with IFES Indonesia Team in developing PSA concept.

The person is expected to perform the following functions:

a)      Develop a targeted public information campaign, including Radio and Television PSAs, directed to a female voting audience through both messages and spoke persons;
b)      In coordination with IFES Indonesia Team, develop concept of the media campaigns and distributed through local media outlets;
c)       As a PIC, work closely with the media announcer for distribution of the PSAs;
d)      Assist any relevant duties as required during the valid contract period or out the contract upon agreement by both parties.

Required Skills and Experience

·         Knowledge of Principles, techniques, and practices of journalism and advertising methods and techniques;
·         Ability to Coordinate publications and public service announcements to inform the public targeted;
·         Advance knowledge in Publication design;
·         Prior working experience engaged with RRI, TVRI, Production House are preferred;
·         Work independently with minimal direction to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with those contacted in the course of assigned duties;
·         Able to work in a team or independent, with minimal direction;
·         Strong analytical skills required;
·         Ability to take initiative and work with tight deadlines;
·         Bachelor's/Master's degree in journalism, public relations, or related field;
·         Minimum 5 years working experience in Media, Broadcasting or Public Communication;
·         Strong written and Verbal communication skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
