Campaigns and Advocacy Director (based in Jakarta)

The Campaign and Advocacy Director
provides overall leadership, management and strategic direction to the
campaigns, advocacy and communication work of Save the Children in
Indonesia. He/she is responsible for the development
and implementation of campaign and advocacy strategies that will
influence government, other institutional policies and practice and the
public to achieve positive and lasting changes to fulfill children's
rights.
The Campaigns and Advocacy Director will
ensure that Save the Children develops and implement vibrant public
campaigns and engage with various audiences to raise children's issues
profile.
S/he will build awareness, stimulate
inclusion of advocacy components in existing and proposed Save the
Children projects and programmes and ensure strong and effective
synergies between programme and advocacy to maximise Save
the Children's impact. S/he will provide training and support to Save
the Children staff and partner organisations engaged in advocacy
The Campaigns and Advocacy Director will
work closely with the Senior Manager Fundraising and Marketing to ensure
strong synergies between campaign strategies and the fundraising
strategies and ensure that Save the Children projects
a coherent and engaging public facing image
About you
You will have strong track record in
successfully leading the development and implementation of campaigns and
advocacy strategies. You will bring to the role good programme
management skills, with the ability to plan work, meet
deadlines and drive delivery across a large organisation.
You will be expected to have excellent
interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and
negotiation, strong research and policy development skills and
experience of building networks. Experience in analysing policy
contexts, developing influence maps around a particular policy issue
and in strategic analysis will be required. You will have excellent
written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
