Position Summary
 
Responsibilities
The INSUF Community Organizer role is facilitating community and schools to establish and managing Posyandu and assists regular feed the children program. The role will be carried out by conducting community meetings, trainings for Posyandu cadres and assisting mothers and volunteer in preparing food for feed the program or other initiative to increase nutritional status of under-five children.
 
The overall goal of INSUF is to increase mothers’ good feeding practices, good caring practices and good health seeking practices. The role involves a capacity to conduct positive deviance inquiry, good communication skills to encourage community leaders, health cadres of Posyandu and women groups or association to mobilize their resources for sustainability of Posyandu and nutritional post.
 
 
Qualifications Required
·         Appreciative, honest, trustworthy and has high integrity; be self-motivated to use innovation and creativity.
·         Have good communication and interpersonal skills in order to maintain an acceptable working relationship with formal and informal villages’ leader
·         Willing to work with scavenger in dumping site with high sensitivity and respect to their disadvantage situation.
·         Bachelor degree (S1) in health or nutrition or or other relevant subject.
·         Familiar with Posyandu, Positive Deviance Inquiry approach or Water Sanitation and Hygiene issues.
·         Capacity to teach English for primary schools is an advantage.
·         Ability to work under pressure at times while maintaining high quality results and team player in community mobilizing process.
 
Job Descriptions
The INSUF Community Organizer will undertake the implementation of feed the children program, establish and managing mobile Posyandu, PDI approach to increase mothers’ knowledge on feeding, caring and health seeking practices. S/He will encourage cadres to discover best practices of mothers (positive deviance mothers), assisting mothers and volunteer to prepare meals during feed the children program. To monitor Posyandu cadre team, assist volunteer, mobile Posyandu and to ensure good coordination and communication with strategic stakeholder in find ways to increase nutritional status of under-five children.  
 
The INSUF CO is required to undertake the following tasks:
 
1.       Design monthly planning and Implementing INSUF project based on the detailed implementation plan (DIP).
2.       Assisting community to increase capacity of current Posyandu, managing Mobile Posyandu and design and implementing capacity building programs for Posyandu cadres
3.       Assisting community leaders to design and starting the programs to increase nutritional status of under-five children
4.       Proposing ways of improvement of Project methodology, strategy and technical matter that adjusted to local context and resources.
5.       Preparing the monthly activity reports and other reports as required to Project Manager.
