Cardno - Sr. Transport Engineer - Indonesia.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: 
Reporting to the Head of Private Sector Engagement and Deputy Head of Office, the primary objectives of this role are:
>To provide accurate and efficient engineering design services for the Consulting Business Unit based in Jakarta, in accordance with project times and budgets and with minimal supervision.
>To undertake project management roles and coordinate project teams to achieve client outcomes in line with project specifications.
>To promote the range of engineering and consulting services Cardno offers to the Indonesian market place and to provide analysis on which of Cardno services is most relevant to various markets in Indonesia.
>To provide high quality input in the continuing development of the Consulting Business Unit’s Strategic Business Plan.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY:  
Knowledge        
>Demonstrated knowledge of business development processes within the infrastructure consulting sector in Indonesia
>Comprehensive understanding of relevant government departments and major private sector firms in the infrastructure consulting field and the tender processes they use.
>High-level knowledge, understanding and application of engineering concepts, processes and activities
>High-level knowledge of Engineering drawing techniques
>Thorough knowledge, or ability to gain thorough knowledge, of relevant design standards, legislation and Indonesian Construction Standards
Skills     
>Demonstrated capacity to find and attain new clients in the infrastructure consulting business
>Demonstrated advanced skills in relevant design software
>Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Project
>Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Ability  
>Ability to identify new clients and to develop long-term relationships with them
>Ability to develop detailed client tracking information which will assist Cardno to develop a thorough understanding of new infrastructure consulting sectors.
>Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with clients, staff and managers
>Ability to manage projects in accordance with set specifications
>Ability to lead small teams and manage team output
>Ability to solve problems by devising new approaches and/or applying existing criteria to new ways to draw conclusions
