Background
Based
on the decision of the Supreme Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3 /
C / I-XIII.2 / 7/2014, Directorate Evaluation and Audit Reporting (abbreviated
EPP) has the responsibility to prepare the IHPS (summary of semi-annual audit
report) of BPK. IHPS will include all of BPK audit report published by entire
working unit in BPK. In preparing IHPS, all of audit findings in LHP released
during the semester will be classified into kind of findings and type of audit,
guided by BPK technical guideline which determined in 2008. Audit report
released by working units were written based on standard of state financial
audit and also contain very technically terms which sometimes difficult to be
understood by ordinary people. Because of that, IHPS were influenced and also
contain similar matters, and sometimes also difficult to be read and
understood.
Given
that stakeholders of BPK as the main target of IHPS are coming from various
knowledge, backgrounds and different levels of education, EPP need to develop
IHPS which contain more easy understood of language and attractive design, in
order to make it easier to be understood by them. The style of language and
writing techniques commonly used by the press and journalist are the popular
language which uses common terminologies and grammar that is easier to be
understood the common reader, as well it has the attractive layout and design.
By
the ability to write and presenting report in popular language and also
designing it in an attractive layout; Directorate EPP expects that IHPS will be
reach more stakeholders and give more useful information.
Objectives
The objective the activity is providing consultant for EPP to
perform 4-days training on 'Writing IHPS with popular language and designing
the attractive layout for IHPS'.
Scope of work
Scope of activitiy for consultant are preparing and performing training
in Directorate of Evaluation Audit Reporting (EPP) for BPK RI staffs.
Participants
Participants that expected to attend the training are 35 (thirty
five) persons from Directorate of Evaluation Audit Reporting (EPP) and related
working unit who have task and
responsibilities to write report or writing the IHPS
Training methodology and expected topics to be taught
The
methodology of training performed is to deliver material training by lectures,
practices, and case studies along with the field study to give insight of real
practices in report writing and designing the lay out of the report.
The
expected topics to be taught, among others are:
1). Techniques to write a good report
2). Methods to make an attractive written report
3). Selecting appropriate terminologies and words
4). Pharaphrase (modify the writing style without change its meaning)
5). Design good layout
6). Use photograph for reporting

Training Schedule
Training
will be held for 4 (four) days, expected starting at November 24. 2014 with
agenda as follows:
Day 1 – day 3 : in-class
session (lectures, practices, and case studies)
Day 4 :
field study to learn report writing in practices
Deliverables Required
Consultant
is required to submit deliverables as follows:
1). Slide presentation of training material, including execise and
case studies as needed,
2). Three days training - lecture
3). One day field visit to a media office
4). Final report of training on Report Writing for EPP
Requirements of the Trainers
Consultants who will deliver training materials are expected
experts with the following competencies:
1). in substance issues, they are expected to :
§ Have the ability in report writing
§ Have the analytical skills and write in popular and attractive
language
§ Have the knowledge in financial management
§ Have working experiences as an editor, or editor of the magazine,
or editor of national newspapers
2). In designing layout, they are expected to have working
experiences for design the layout of attractive reports and photos of report.
3). Have good networking with the media to arrange field study on
report writing (writing news)
Application
