Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik (Save the Children) seeks Media, PR and Communications Manager based in Jakarta

Save the Children is an international NGO and the world’s top independent charity for children in need. Since 1919, we have been fighting for children’s rights, saving their lives and providing hope for brighter futures worldwide.  Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We currently work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.  We are currently seeking to fill the following position:


Media, PR and Communications Manager
1 position, based in Jakarta

ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications and working across the organisation, the Media, PR and Communications Manager will design and deliver a communications strategy which increases the profile of Save the Children Indonesia whilst also supporting programmes, fundraising and advocacy & campaigning objectives.

To inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and in line with our theory of change, Save the Children aims to be a credible and powerful voice for children; because of this and in support of the marketing/fundraising element of our strategy, we know that brand enhancement, compelling communications and media engagement is critical to Save the Children’s success

Developing a strong brand identity and relationship with the public is key in helping the organisation achieve its overall objectives of becoming the voice for children in Indonesia. The Media, PR and Communications Manager in his/her capacity is responsible for providing leadership to ensure excellent internal and external communications  including  media and public engagement, supporting corporate partners communication needs, brand identity, and compelling storytelling in both emergency and development contexts.

The pos-holder will be an active member of Change Management Team and the Cross Functional Working Groups and other fora as notified by the Indonesia Leadership Team.

He/She will play a key role in shaping the overall strategy of the organisation and driving forward new initiatives to ensure long term sustainability.
