Who we are?
The
Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global,
multi-stakeholder initiative on sustainable palm oil. Members of RSPO,
and participants in its activities come from many different backgrounds,
including plantation companies, processors and traders, consumer goods
manufacturers and retailers of palm oil products, financial
institutions, environmental NGOs and social NGOs, from many countries
that produce or use palm oil. The RSPO vision is to “transform the
markets by making sustainable palm oil the norm".
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
The
successful candidate will be responsible to accomplish the strategic
objectives of the RSPO Dispute Settlement Facility towards facilitating
the fair and lasting resolution of disputes raised against RSPO members
by affected parties with the objective of promoting a better
relationship.

Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Head of The Evaluations & Impacts Department, the incumbent will be responsible for
- Managing and ensuring the efficient delivery of the DSF Program and implementation of the DSF business plan/annual work plan including planning, budgeting, and monitoring and reporting
- Managing, coordinating and monitoring all dispute settlement processes and cases according to the RSPO DSF Protocol and operational guidelines, from pre-mediation assessment through to post-mediation monitoring of settlements
- Supporting, participating and managing member events if relevant and to build ties with the various stakeholders involved
- Reaching out and institutionalize communications on DSF inside and outside the RSPO
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
You
should have at least a Bachelors’ degree in Sociology, Law,
Development, Conflict/Dispute management or any relevant field, with a
minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in handling relevant issues.
