Yayasan Rumah Energi (YRE) been being a sub grantee of HIVOS for the last three years,   implementing  of the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme (BIRU) and the Gathering and Dissemination of Information and Green Knowledge for a Sustainable Integrated Farming Workforce in Indonesia (GADING) Programme.


Yayasan Rumah Energi is now  looking for a dynamic Indonesians national to fill the following positions:


COMMUNICATION & PROMOTION OFFICER JAKARTA (CPO JAKARTA)

Responsibilities & tasks

The scope of the activities of the Communication & Promotion Officer includes:

Organization’s branding & SOP
  1. Responsible for crafting and implementation of the organizations key message and image
  2. Promote awareness of the organization and for building support for the company and its members, and their interests through media relations, marketing, public relations and communications
  3. Plan, develop, implement and maintain quality control of mass communications regarding the organization
  4. With staff to develop more efficient ways to market the programs and benefits of the organization to the membership and the regional community
  5. Write/edit of publications and annual report
  6. Work with events to produce and review internal/external communications pieces Including brochures, flyers, website updates, e-news and event surveys targeted to members and prospects
  7.  Support YRE in fundraising-related activities

Media relation & spokesperson for the YRE 
  1. Develop relationships with local media, field media inquiries pertaining to the organization; produce news releases to publicize events and initiatives
  2. Provide backup for the Communication and Promotions Officer working at provincial level
  3. Participate actively in internal and external sector networks and knowledge events


Programmatic Responsibility for IDBP:
  1. Coordinate the design and initiate wide scale promotion of domestic biogas
  2. Ensure proper demand for biogas in rural areas creating a positive image of the IDBP
  3. Work with and support programme stakeholders (government, NGOs, private sector, MFIs) in promoting biogas to potential users
  4. Make proper use of media and communication channels, including the development of a biogas website in coordination with other staff, to promote biogas by highlighting the advantages of the IDBP approach (quality control, sector-development and other programme methods) and drawing on positive experience by users
  5. Ensure that the IDBP applies ways to effectively mainstream gender, social inclusion and good governance aspects in the sector through promotion and marketing
  6. Play a leading role in developing knowledge related to promotion and marketing
  7. Develop a promotion strategy and plan in cooperation with partners, for them to integrate biogas promotion into their daily activities
  8. Identify, initiate and support the roll out of promotional and marketing activities, initially in pockets of opportunity, later shifting focus to areas with limited demand
  9. Undertake the development and dissemination of promotion and extension materials for the programme
  10. Develop tools which assist in providing information to potential biogas users, for them to make informed decisions and to effectively exploit all benefits of biogas, with special attention to the use of bio-slurry
  11. Contribute to a healthy competitive environment in the biogas sector as a commercial and market oriented industry
  12. Monitor, assess and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of the promotion
  13. Identify and document push and pull factors that facilitate/hinder the adoption of biogas technology
  14. Work closely together with the IDBP extension network and provide advice on promotion and marketing issues to the programme and relevant stakeholders
  15. Identify relevant articles in the press, develop and issue press releases and play a key role in press- and promotion-related activities of the biogas programme
  16. Contribute to Programme development strategies

Requirements
  • Minimum S-1 in Marketing/ Communication/ Management
  • Minimum 5 years work experience, preferably in similar industry
  • Minimum 4 years experience in similar position/responsibility
  • Active English (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge on energy issue or domestic biogas will be an advantage
  • Physical fitness to travel throughout the country
  • Can work under tight deadline
  • Can work under minimum supervision
  • Team player
  • High self confidence
  • Excellent communication
  • Biogas background desired
