INCLUSIVE EDUCATION PROJECT TEAM RECRUITMENT - HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL - KUPANG, NTT

In order to strengthen and sustain inclusive education system for children with disabilities in the province of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) - Indonesia - Phase II” (IE Project) will be implemented in the Province of Nusa Tenggara Timur and more precisely on Timor Island, in 2 districts of this province: Kota and Kabupaten Kupang The project will start in December 2016. To support this project, Handicap International is looking for the following positions for its office in Kupang, NTT:

1.    Position Title    : Project Manager (email subject: IEPM)
       Location            : Kupang, NTT
       Salary Range    : IDR 9.288.000 – 13.003.200*
       Closing date    : October 26, 2016

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the line management of the Operational Coordinator, the Project Manager will ensure the successful implementation of the Inclusive Education project in Kota and Kupang district. The tasks among other things are:

1.    To line manage a project officer
2.    To provide accompaniment and technical support to Partners
3.    To supervise assessment on Inclusive Education and access to school for Children with Disabilities
4.    To conduct trainings, workshop, and sensitization activities
5.    To accompany and monitor activities in schools and at provincial and community level
6.    To supervise the development of visibility-related activities for education actors, general public and community

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Essential:
•    Master Degree  in social science or equivalent professional experience
•    Minimum 5 years experience on Education projects
•    Minimum 3 years experience as a project manager
•    Excellent in written and spoken English

Desired:
•    Master Degree  in disciplines related to Education/Disability or equivalent professional experience
•    Working experience in Education project in NTT province
•    An experience in the field of disability will be an asset
•    Working experience in INGO on project management level


2.   Position Title    : Project Officer (email subject: IEPO)
       Location           : Kupang, NTT
       Salary Range   : IDR 5.090.985 – 7.127.379*
       Closing date    : October 26, 2016

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the line management of the Project Manager, the Project Officer will ensure the successful implementation of the Inclusive Education project in Kota and Kupang district. The tasks among other things are:

1.    To organize information and training sessions for parents, teachers and authorities
2.    To support the adaptation of the existing training modules and tools to the NTT and Project context
3.    To provide hands-on support and accompaniment to partners
4.    To organize with partners and participate in assessment on Inclusive Education and access to school for   Children with Disabilities
5.    To conduct workshop, and sensitization activities
6.    To accompany and monitor activities in schools and at provincial and community level
7.    To organize and support the development of visibility-related activities by partners



PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Essential:
•    University Degree (S1) in social science or other discipline related to Education
•    Minimum 2 years of practical in the field of development
•    Minimum 5 years experience of professional experience
•    Fluent in English

Desired:
•    Working experience in Disability or Education will be an asset


*)Starting salary amount will be based on objective weighting of qualification and experience of the successful candidate.
The salary scale is currently being reviewed with a potential increase in 2017
