Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better.  We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik.  To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

EDUCATION AND PROTECTION PROGRAM ASSISTANT - IDEAL

1 position, based in Bandung

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Education and Protection Program Assistant will support the implementation of Inclusive Community Development and School for All (IDEAL) Project in Central Indonesia Area. The Post holder will will assist SELARAS Project Manager and other project team members in preparation of documents and communication on administrative, logistic, transportation and financial affairs. He/She will responsible to prepare and maintain of documents and communications on administrative, logistic, transportation and financial affairs in mutual respect and focused to the best interests of children.

Save the Children implement a unique project to respond to learning and development needs of children with disabilities living in rural and slum areas. IKEA Foundation funds the IDEAL project which is promoting inclusion all Children in Education System and provision of a protected environment in schools and communities. The project has a child centered approach which means bringing the child in the center and activating duty bearers encircling the child to ensure provision of right to education and protection of children with disabilities.

The project goal is to increase access to quality inclusive education for children with disabilities to attain their right to education and protection. This will be achieved through establishing and strengthening an integrated and inclusive school and community model in selected 7 districts/cities in West Java province

The post holder will contribute on achievement of the global KPIs on Operations Delivery, and contribute to achievement of global KPI’ as follows:

• Awards management
• Risks and financial management
• Global Management Indicators
• Humanitarian and Emergency Response
