PHOTOBOOK LAUNCHING AND EXHIBITION IN JAKARTA
ABOUT US
Plan International is an independent child rights and humanitarian organisation committed to children living a life free of poverty, violence and injustice. We actively unite children, communities and other people who share our mission to make positive lasting changes in children’s and young people’s lives. We support children to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to claim their rights to a fulfilling life, today and in the future. We place a specific focus on girls and women, who are most often left behind.  We have been building powerful partnerships for children for more than 75 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries. In Indonesia, Plan International started to work in 1969 based on the memorandum of understanding with the Government of Indonesia. Currently we work in 4 provinces: Jakarta, Central Java, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara and sponsors more than 40,000 children.

THE EVENT
Plan International Indonesia produces photobook stories which present the real lives of girls in Timor, Flores, and Lembata Island. The book aims to show the gender inequality issues faced by girls and women in their daily lives and 15 extraordinary girls who challenge gender norms and strive for gender equality. 
In order to raise awareness on gender equality, inform Plan’s identity as a girls rights organization, and engage youth to join Youth Coalition for Girls ( a youth led movement initiated by Plan for promoting girls’ right and gender equality), we are going to officially launch the book by having a public exhibition through a combination of photos, videos, and talkshows.
Objectives:
1.To raise awareness on gender inequality issues affecting girls and young women in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) through the lives of girls and young women in 3 islands in NTT.
2.To inform Plan’s identity as an organization promoting and working for girls’ rights and gender equality.
3.To gather interests of youth audience to join Youth Coalition for Girls (a youth led movement initiated by Plan International Indonesia for promoting girls’ right and gender equality)
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
Primary; youth 15-29 years old, concerned in social causes, aspire to be be youth volunteers in social organization, live in greater Jakarta area.

MAIN SCOPE OF WORK FOR PR AGENCY: 1) Design and production of key visual for promotion related to media, 2) Design and manage the Pre Event Activities related to media, 3) Design and manage the Post Event Activities related to media, 3) Press release and media invitation
