The Organisation
An international foundation that
provides support to civil society efforts to transform the electricity system
in Indonesia to clean energy sources has an opening for a senior advisor. This
is a 12 month initial contract that will require you to spend considerable time
in Jakarta, but can be based anywhere in Indonesia.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced
strategist with outstanding networking skills and with a strong knowledge of
campaigning, advocacy and coalition-building. You will work with a diverse
array of groups, developing grant-making strategy, advising on grant-making
portfolios and determining organising models for the future.
- Develop the field of available partners in Indonesia
- Advise on the activities of the Indonesia energy program and potential grants
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and build their capacity
- Ensure collaboration amongst partners
- Evaluate grantmaking and recommend future pathways and organising models
Skills Required
You will have excellent written and
verbal skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia and at least 10 years of
campaigning experience with visible results in terms of policy and practice
change. You will also be experienced in effectively managing coalitions and
must have a track record in developing program plans. An understanding of the
power sector and grantmaking practices are desirable.
