purpose
Provides administrative
assistance to Forensic Regional Manager in accordance to forensic strategy in Asia Pacific Region.
Main responsibilities
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
Training support
- Translating from English to Bahasa and vice versa training material (including presentations, forms, exercises, programs, etc
- Providing simultaneous translation of presentations, meetings, trainings, workshops, roundtables and interactions between Forensic Regional Manager and participants in the trainings also preparing regular meetings, including monthly meetings with the Asia Pacific Forensic Team.
- Assist the planning, preparation and implementation of training with external stakeholder as needed.
- Assist in the sensitization of staff and others on forensic issues relevant to the ICRC and help sensitize ICRC staff and relevant external stakeholders on issues related to Humanitarian Forensic Action.
External Relations
Supports
and assist Forensic Regional Manager during meetings and field trips
- Supporting with the preparation and organization of field visits to forensic facilities.
- Providing simultaneous translation of interactions between Forensic Manager and representatives. (Bahasa)
- Supports during the documentation and gathering of information during the visits and assessments.
- Supporting with the reporting of results of assessments of forensic facilities. (medicolegal and judicial system)
- Assist with scheduling of offsite appointments and organization of Forensic Manager agenda.
- Participate and
contribute towards maintaining an optimal team environment.
Media
Monitoring
- To monitor some of the international media (including social media) by identifying information relevant for the Asia Pacific Region with particular focus on forensic issues.
- Translating local media documents relevant to forensic activities, upon request from Forensic Regional Manager.

OFFICE ACTIVITIES
a.
Reporting
Support on writing minutes of meetings,
activities report, BMR, among others institutional reporting related to
Forensic Activities in the Asia Pacific Region.
b.
Office

Develops and maintains a pleasant working atmosphere with colleagues and
superiors.

Participates in internal meetings.
·
Maintain and organize records
of Forensic files.
·
Assist and support Forensic Manager in terms of
forensic stock management.
·
Assist and support Forensic Manager in internal
administrative process.
·
Interact with forensic assistants and or field officers
in the Region.

ADVISE GENERAL ASPECTS ON INDONESIA
·
Advises on culture, politics, general situation and share relevant
information related to the context.
·
Presents synthesis of problematic succinctly and
accurately.
3.
GENERAL DUTIES
Understands the three components of the Red
Cross/Red Crescent Movement
Applies the security rules at all times
Respects and observes staff regulations of the ICRC
in Asia Pacific Region
Performs duties and tasks not covered in this job
description and provide support to other departments when necessary.
Selection requirements and experience
- Ÿ University degree or equivalent required. Specialization in the forensic or health sector an asset (i.e. medical or dentist doctor, nurse, public health officer, etc.) also can be a biology or anthropology degree: Any background on forensic sciences or a with very good administrative skills is desirable.
- 3 - 5 years work experience in a medicolegal field is an asset.
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English and Bahasa.
- Very good computer skills
- Very good communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Very good organizational skills
