The
Project Manager ensures the effective implementation of EngageMedia initiatives
in Indonesia, specifically focused on strengthening the media capacity of
activists, curating and distributing video for social impact, and coordinating
film festivals and screenings.
The
person has excellent managerial and community organising skills.

film-makers to produce, distribute and create impact from their media

film effectively with campaigns and advocacy organisations

the exposure of human rights and environmental issues in remote communities in
Indonesia

Develop
the management skills of local activists and partner organizations
Responsibilities
Project
Management
•
Develop
and monitor project plans for all activities
•
Coordinate
a variety of events and public engagement opportunities
•
Mentor
and assist activisists in organizational development including budget planning,
program planning and monitoring, and general management.
•
Oversee
and delegate logistics arrangements for events, including travel and
transportation, visas, security, venues, catering and technology
•
Build
effective communication with partner organisations to ensure projects are well
executed
•
Manage
project spending and work with the finance team to track project budgets
•
Maintain
and file documentation in an organized and efficient manner on EngageMedia
intranet
•
Development
partnerships and collaborations
•
Assist
the Director in fundraising efforts, including proposal writing, managing
relationship with donors, and report writing
Engagement
and Impact
•
Collect
and curate video content for distribution on and offline
•
Assist
in or coordinate the subtitling and translation of videos
•
Implement
strategic distribution and communications plans, ensuring content is used by
campaigners and advocates to create social impact
•
Develop
link between local video activists with web-based news sites, media outlets,
film festivals, campaign groups, etc. within Southeast Asia.
•
Coordinate
film-screenings in Indonesia and globally
•
Coordinate
media engagement to assist with promotion
•
Working
with the Communications Coordinate to promote work to through social media and
other channels
•
Blog
regularly about your work with EngageMedia
Experience,

Excellent
project management skills and evidence of successful project management

Bahasa Indonesia, strong English an advantage

least 5 years experience in a related field

Location
and hours
•
The
position is contracted at 5 days per week.
•
The
position is based out of any major Indonesian city, or Yogyakarta,
Indonesia.
•
Office
hours are between 9am and 6pm, however it is expected the position will often
outside these hours, given its critical role in organisational management.
