Term of Reference PUBLICIST for HeForShe Run 2018
PURPOSE
IBCWE is
seeking a Publicist to provide support to HeForShe Run 2018 event which aims
to encourage the public to act actively on issues of gender equality. One of
them through running 5k and 10k. The Publicist is responsible in building
impactful partnerships throughout the event. Thus, the Consultant (may be an individual
or company) should have extensive media knowledge, and experience building
impactful, strategic relationships with media.
The ideal candidate
will have a track record as a significant individual contributor or company comfortable
working independently, whilst taking direction from the supervisory team.
QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIAL SKILLS, OR
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
•Minimum 5
years relevant work experience in strategic media partnership within the
affiliate marketing industry, with a proven track record of building and
implementing such partnerships;
•An outstanding
relationship builder with an established professional network in the market
with a strong ambition to keep expanding this network;
•Commercial
focus, results oriented and excellent communication & reporting skills;
•Creative,
persistent and outgoing personality,
•Proactive,
positive and self-motivated with ability to work without close supervision;
•Have an
established and proven professional network throughout the media network and social media platforms over
time;
•Be adapt quickly to the latest guidelines from IBCWE
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The consultancy
will begin on January 12 and go through March 30, 2018
SCOPE OF WORK
The
consultant
will act as liaison between the media and IBCWE and be content provider
for its social media channels for publicity needs. Based on an approved
work
plan, the consultant will be the day-to-day focal point person for event
promotion activities with media, ensuring that all services are
performed and
outputs delivered in a timely fashion. The consultant will become
familiar with
all HeForShe Run 2018 activities being organized by IBCWE and ensure
that the publicity
remains on strategy. In addition, the consultant will provide the IBCWE
with
what it needs to perform its objectives through this event successfully.
Responsibilities:
• Supports HeForShe
Run event in identifying and building partnership opportunities with media
(conventional and digital)
• Establish an
understanding of the business objectives of these potential partners and match
these to publicity activities
•Manage all
processes leading up to provide support to HeForShe Run - IBCWE in finalizing
such partnerships (i.e. lead generation, prospecting, establishing first
contact, meetings, contract, integration and follow up);
•Provide
support in maintaining and building successful media partnerships with IBCWE
and manage all aspects of partner interactions;
•Monitor the
success of each partner and manage relationships by advising on the event’s
need of media exposure pre-to-post event
•Monitor,
research and report findings on relevant media target post the event

REPORTING
The consultant
shall report directly to the Executive Director of IBCWE. Interested candidates
