Position : Early Childhood Development (ECD) Specialist
Project : "Strengthening civil society and social accountability for
improved access to quality, inclusive ECD services in NTT”
Project
Funded : by European Union (EU)
Based : Kupang Based (with intensive
travelling to East and Southwest Sumba)
Type : Full Time
The ECD Specialist will be responsible for providing technical expertise
and ensuring the quality and availability of ECD services that are accessible,
well resourced and child friendly) in the EU funded project, entitled “Strengthening civil society and social
accountability for improved access to quality, inclusive ECD services in
NTT."
The project focuses on capacity building of local
stakeholders and project
partners in Kupang, South West Sumba and East Sumba Districts. It
is expected that the ECD Specialist commences in the role from June 1,
2018.
She/he will be responsible for providing technical capacity building,
empowerment and coaching to Civil Society Organizations (CSO)s and Local
Authorities (LA)s on ECD service delivery, module development, and act as the project’s ECD resource person.
She/he will be responsible for
building networks and leading advocacy
initiatives on ECD at district and provincial levels together with internal and
external stakeholders.
MAIN QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
·
Master’s
degree in a field relevant to early childhood development or
social work is preferred
·
Substantial experience in providing technical assistance in the field of early childhood development programs.
·
Expertise in early education care and development program and module development.
·
Proven ability to
provide high quality technical assistance, guidance and coaching to respective target groups/stakeholders.
·
Must be able to travel to program
locations and other assigned places
