Communication Officer

Program Summary – Citi Microentrepreneurship Award (CMA)
In partnership with a Commercial Bank Foundation, Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia will organize a Microentrepreneurship Awards which will help develop micro-enterprises and their impact to their surrounding environment and Indonesia’s economy and work to drive further awareness and recognition on the contributions of micro-entrepreneurs in order to promote and sustain interest, support and investment in micro-enterprise development and growth in Indonesia. The program will provide training to micro-entrepreneurs and will grant awards through a competitive process to 8 micro-entrepreneurs who demonstrated success both in developing their businesses while simultaneously providing tangible social benefits to their surrounding communities.
1.  CMA Communication Officer
Under the supervision of the Senior Program Officer, the Communications Officer will be responsible of implementing the program’s communications strategies to increase awareness towards the program and achieve the program’s objectives.
She/he will handling the programs communications activities, such as: managing the program’s official website and social media accounts; coordinate with the graphic designer to produce digital contents, event materials, and merchandise designs; liaising with the donor, government, media, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders; oversee the course of the program’s training and awards ceremony event and coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure all the activities run smoothly.
This position is for 3 months contract
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience in Communications, Public Relations, and Government Relations with a proven track record of successful packaging of communication materials to multiple audiences is an advantage;
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, and/or similar field;
  • Past work experiences related to OJK, Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, a national media company, PR agency, or event organizer would be an advantage;
  • Strong writing and editing skills, both in Bahasa and in English;
  • Experience to develop communications strategies, implementation, and evaluation on media relations and communications for local and national level;
  • Fully computer literate and technology savvy, knowledge of design, video and photo-editing software is an advantage.
