Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik partner of
Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for
the better. We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to
be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia
namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. To this
end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the
Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for
children in strategic middle income countries.
Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is
implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces,
have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in
Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition,
Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response. We are currently
seeking to fill the following position:
DISASTER RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM COORDINATOR
1 position, based in
Central Indonesia Area, Bandung

ROLE PURPOSE:
The DRR Program Coordinator will coordinate all DRR program activities under the operational area of Bandung Field
Office, these are currently funded by one project. The DRR Program Coordinator
will be based in Bandung Field
Office and will ensure: all program activities are implemented according
to plan and at a
high-level of quality; all reporting and planning is completed in a
timely manner and at a high-quality; all communications are completed in
a timely and accurate manner; that we coordinate well with key external
stakeholders; all child safeguarding controls
are enforced; and financial and administrative management adheres to
Save the Children and donors policies, regulations, and good practices.
The DRR Program Coordinator will also lead on program planning and
ensure we advocate with key government stakeholders
to achieve positive change using evidence from our program work as the
basis. S/he will represent Save the Children in Bandung field office; in
particularly related to DRR programming and support program development
and emergency preparedness and response.
The position will require travel to field locations, for
mentoring and providing technical asisstance to the local implemanting partners
and support for hosting donor visits.
In line with guidance
provided by EILT, the post holder will contribute to building the most
positive and affirming work environment possible and promoting culture
of the organisation that is aligned with the
mission, evolving goals and strategic ambitions aligned with the
Membership Accountability Framework.
The post holder will also contribute to the standards as noted in the Prospect Member Framework as follows:
- Support on-going development and emergency programming of the existing portfolio in Indonesia in order to achieve ambitious breakthroughs for children.
- Contribute to the development & management of high performing field office teams.
- Contributing to the development of strong partnerships.
- Contribute to effective advocacy for children and collaborate with other departments to implement advocacy initiatives that support the theory of change.
- Contribute to ensuring strong governance, leadership and management of the organisation.
- Contribute to ensuring financial sustainability and growth orientation in the funding portfolio..
The post holder will contribute to the achievement of the global KPIs on:
- Operations Delivery
- Awards management
- Risks and financial management
- Global Management Indicators.
