Program Overview
The
USAID Ready-to-Work Accelerator Program (RWAP) project is working
with a network of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
institutions to deliver workforce development programs to poor and vulnerable youth.
RWAP helps build the capacity of facilitators and administrators from the
institutions, coordinates with local government and the private sector to
improve workforce training, and provides student support, in order to help prepare youth for
success in local job markets.
RWAP is implemented by a consortium led by RTI
International together with EDC and YCAB Foundation. EDC is responsible for adapting
and implementing WorkReadyNow! (WRN!), a work-readiness curriculum implemented throughout
the TVET institutions.

Duration of contract: 6 month ( April - September 2018)
Location: Semarang
Hours of Work: This is a
full-time position, with a 40 hour workingweek. Field work may sometimes
require work at weekends, which will becompensated through time off in
lieu.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of EDC’s Project Coordinator
and in coordination with RTI’s Chief of Party, the Program Officer is
responsible for contributing to the day-to-day management of EDC’s role within
the consortium.

In
coordination with EDC Project Coordinator, support the adaptation and
translation of existing WRN! curriculum for the Indonesian context through a
process of adaptation workshops and pilots
·
Assist
in the management of the set-up and facilitation of WRN! workshops and training
sessions
·
Support
the training of WRN! curriculum materials with faculty from TVET institutions
·
Coordinate
with EDC Project Coordinator and the Administrations/Finance/ Logistics Officer
on programmatic, operational and financial aspects of the project
·
Support
the roll-out and monitoring of WRN! implementation at TVET institutions including
engaging with faculty and management
·
Assist
in collecting M&E data during training and monitoring at BLK and
LPKs, universities, the private sector and government agencies as required
·
Assist
in the cost share process including ensuring that the necessary documentation
is in place, in coordination with the Administrations/Finance/ Logistics Officer
·
Support
logistics and planning for project activities as required
·
Other
duties as required to support RWAP
Education, Skills and Experience:
·
2 years or more of professional work experience within education
or training fields
·
Experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded
projects preferred
·
Experience working with or for educational institutions (LPKs,
BLKs, LKPs experience preferred)
·
Experience designing and implementing curriculum preferred
·
Experience working with youth work-force development programs
preferred
·
Experience organizing, managing and implementing events such as
training programs
·
Experience training and supporting faculty members or teachers
preferred
·
Knowledge of Indonesia’s education system capacity, strengths,
needs and challenges is preferred
·
Good knowledge of computer programs including MS Word and Excel
·
Bachelor’s Degree in education, public or business administration,
social sciences, or similar field; Master’s degree preferred
Language: The candidate must be
professionally proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesian.
