Indonesia is presently implementing its Country Strategy 4 (CS 4) covering
fiscal year 2017 to 2022, where the country objective has been defined as “to identify and facilitate the removal of
obstacles that prevent children from enjoying their rights and participating
fully in Indonesian society”. This goal will be achieved by providing
technical support and implementing quality programs and projects through
partnership. An effective and efficient communications strategy is a must for
Plan Indonesia to share the outcomes of these projects to influence different
actors, specially state authorities and to position Plan’s profile within and
outside at different levels – starting from community, sub district, district to national, regional and international
levels.
Plan Indonesia is looking for dynamic staff to
be based in Jakarta for the position:
Country Accountant
Responsibilities:
Business Planning Processes Budgeting and planning is based on excellent
and timely financial data: Participates to the funding
budget process and ensures that operational plans are consistent with the
approval budgets.
Consolidates country
operational budgets and submit to the Country Finance Manager for review. Reviews budget entries in
SAP and keeps records of budget modifications on file. Performs expenditures
analysis with cost effectiveness of operations orientation. Use SAP BI Reports Budget
versus Actual as a tool of budget monitoring and control.Maintain overall
oversight of the budget so that over or under spends can be highlighted and
discussed with the relevant staff/partners on a timely basis.
Accounting and Treasury Accounting and cash management is accurate and
compliant with established Plan policies and procedures :Reviews and signs all vouchers (cash disbursement,
cash receipt, and journal) for completeness, accuracy and consistency with
attached supporting documents in compliance with the OM, Plan policies and
local laws. Ensures that all purchases and payments are within budget
before processing. Reviews payroll based on information received from HR
and pays salaries and wages timely to staff and LSW to expatriate staff. Prepare
monthly cash forecast and refresh by entity based on CO/PA’s forecasts. Follow-up
intercompany recharges to outside countries (RO, IH and NOs) closely. Keep
and update bank details and bank accounts signatories for the Country. Liaise
with the bank on un-reconciling transactions.Support/train PA and Country
Office staff on the use of corporate financial systems, including SAP and BI
Reports. Perform the routine SAP period end closing processes.
Internal Financial Control Internal Financial Controls and Risks Management : Ensure appropriate financial controls processes,
procedures and systems are in place and adhered to in the Country Office and at
PAs. Ensure in every office location that petty cash count is performed
at least once a quarter and cash count form is on file. Follow up
finance-related audit actions for the Country Office to ensure actions are
implemented and alternative actions taken as required to address weaknesses in
financial controls and procedures identified in finance and other forms and
audit reports.Train CO and PAs staff on new/revised sections of the new
Operation Manual.
People Management People
management and staff development : In charge of the staff payroll accounting
nationwide.Develop, coach and motivate a high performing finance team in the
Country Office.Conduct interim and final evaluation of direct report based on
HRIS guidelines.Conduct regular meeting with staff.Staff training on financial
processes and procedures.
Financial Reporting and Analysis Financial reporting and record keeping are thorough,
well maintained and accurate: Accurate maintenance of all expenditure recording including supporting
documentation which is of all expenditure recording including supporting
documentation which is approved by the appropriate authority. Preparing
or review periodic financial reports for the Country Office, including Balance
Sheet and Income Statement reports on monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting Train
staff on Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly of CO reporting schedules
COMPTENCY REQUIREMENTS
:
Education: Minimum of bachelor degree in Accounting.
Core
competencies: Attitude: Personal
Integrity Accuracy in figures, Pay attention in details Skills: Strong
knowledge in Accounting and have experience in managing teams. In
depth knowledge of financial systems, financial management and reporting. Experience
with financial information systems especially SAP would be preferable. Proven
initiative, flexibility and ability to prioritize in a demanding environment
and to tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively by
support, facilitation, and co-ordination.
Excellent English communication skills
(verbal and written). Knowledge: Financial
and accounting principles and procedures ,
Management information system , Plan’s
specific system: SAP, Indonesian tax laws Experience: At
least five years in related field
Range Salary :

11 550 000 – 16 500 000,-
