Yayasan Plan Internanional Indonesia Job Vacancy : Youth Voices for Girls’ Rights Project Manager

Yayasan Plan International Indonesia is presently implementing its country strategic 4 (CS 4) covering fiscal year 2017 to 2022, where the country objective has been defined as “to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society”. The organisation’s purpose is to “strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls”. This goal will be achieved by providing technical support and implementing quality programs and projects through partnership. An effective and efficient communications strategy is a must for Plan Indonesia to share the outcomes of these projects to influence different actors, specially state authorities and to position Plan’s profile within and outside at different levels – starting from community, sub district, district to national, regional and international levels.

Yayasan Plan International Indonesia invites highly competent, experienced and committed professionals to fill the following position:
Youth Voices for Girls’ Rights Project Manager - Jakarta
Typical Responsibilities - Key End Results of Position The position holder directly supervises one project coordinator who is assigned assist and support the project implementation. The span of indirect reports is within the range of 15-25 persons from the respective projects. The total annual budget that he/she supervises for implementation under different projects ranges from 750.000 – 900.000 Euro. He/she also represents Plan International Indonesia in the concerned network related to implementation of the Youth Voices for Girls’ Rights and Gender Equality Project and donor agency (EU).Key Result Area (KRA) 1:  Responsible to Leads the process of developing/ develop implementation plan of Youth Voices for Girls’ Rights and Gender Equality Project with detail activities, operational processes and budget for field level implementation Indicator for success: Project implementation plan is developed and approved before implementation starts;  Annual plans and budgets of Youth Voices for Girls’ Rights and Gender Equality project are finalized and approved; necessary revision is done and approval ensured.. KRA 2: Ensures development of M&E framework of Youth Voices for Girls’ Rights and Gender Equality Project to support comprehensive and quality monitoring of the project performance at community, partner and country level following corporate guide line of Plan and relevant donor agency (EU). Indicators for success: Approved M&E framework for all projects are in place before implementation starts. Project Monitoring Implementation System is developed/established to generate information for monitoring and management decisions KRA 3: Supports projects coordinators overcoming operational constrains to ensure smooth implementation and to achieve agreed burn rate of the project budget. Indicators for success:  Operational constrained are identified through monitoring visits and required support channelled from internal and external environment as required. At least 95% burn rate of annual project budget is ensured in a consistent manner throughout the year KRA 4: Establishes quality donor reporting system for project by providing guidance, setting protocols and building capacity of the relevant project staff.Indicators for success: Project reports to donor (EU) meets quality standards in terms of language and fed with appropriate field information. Project reports meets donor (EU) deadlines and compliances
Requirements : Bachelor in Social Sciences, Sociology, Development Studies, International Relations, Law or other relevant field with minimum 4 years’ experience in any development works with demonstrated in project managerial skill. Advance knowledge and skills on Children Rights and Youth Participation. Good understanding and analytical skills on SDG’s issues particularly under goals #5 and #16. Good knowledge and skills on facilitation on youth communities/ groups. Experiences working with NGO and relevant networks on Children Rights, Youth Participation, and Gender Equality. Outstanding interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Experience in the areas of organizational planning and management; Experience with budgeting, planning and project administration; Ability to handle diverse, simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines, and attend to follow-through; Experience with a youth organization and knowledge of philanthropic community preferred; Evenings and weekends are required.
