OBJECTIVE
The Ambon
Regional Director will
provide the overall oversight of day-to-day implementation, personnel management,
reporting, and monitoring of field activities and management of the Ambon
Regional office. The Regional
Director will work closely with the Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party to
support the project with programmatic, technical and operational aspects of the
Project at the regional level across the 3 provinces.
TASKS
The Ambon Regional Director will
in general:
- Coordinate appropriate regional or national institutions with project staff, subcontractors, and/or STTA to implement project activities in the field.
- Provide administrative and technical oversight to all regional activities; coordinating with all partners.
- Liaise daily or as required with the Jakarta main office and key personnel.
- Report to COP and Supervise the technical and administrative staff of SEA Project regional office (e.g. Regional Technical Director, Regional Operation Manager, Regional M&E Specialist, and other regional staff)
- Provide technical guidance on aspects of the project in which the Regional Director has training and a particular skill and/or expertise.
Specific tasks and outputs to be accomplished by the
Regional Director will be:
- Review, be familiar with, and monitor work plan activity in each province;
- Meet with and know the work of each sub-contractor working in each province;
- Ensure that each sub-contractor understands and meets their reporting requirements for USAID SEA quarter reports and for the implementation of the SEA ME&L Plan in coordination with the SEA ME&L Team;
- Manage the general operations of the Ambon regional office in coordination with administrative staff and their existing abilities in a team-like manner;
- Lead and/or assist with the planning and execution of selected regional workshops in coordination with SEA Core staff and/or SEA Partners (government and NGO);
- Maintain relations with key government and private sector partners in the region;
- Ensure that all reports processed through the regional office are written in good English and submitted in a timely manner to the Jakarta office.
University
degree in natural resources management, management and related field. Relevant
experience and another university degree may substitute for the degrees mentioned. Master degree holder preferred.
Work Experience :
Seven to ten years’ experience working
on project management, monitoring and evaluation for international donor-funded
programs of similar size and complexity.
Must be familiar with administration systems, policies, and
processes and good project management.
Fluent in
Bahasa Indonesia and professional proficiency in oral and written English are
essential.
General :
Able to work under pressure
and tight deadlines.
High degree of adaptability to
varied working environments and good interpersonal and teamwork skills to
effectively work with a diverse group of people from multiple organizations and
levels of education.
Good computer skills,
including internet and email.
