Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) - RFP Capacity Development for the ASEAN-U.S. Science and Technology Fellows Program 2018

DAI (Development Alternatives Inc.) implements the ASEAN-U.S Partnership for Good Governance, Equitable and Sustainable Development and Security (PROGRESS) project whose objective is to help ASEAN implement its vision of a Southeast Asia “living in peace, stability and prosperity” by:

·         Enhancing ASEAN’s ability to advance good governance and political-security integration;

·         Improving ASEAN’s capacity to promote equitable and sustainable human development; and,

·         Increasing the ASEAN Secretariat’s institutional capacity

Since 2014, PROGRESS has supported the steady growth and sustainability of the ASEAN-U.S. Science and Technology (S&T) Fellowship. In its 4^th cycle, the program is now named the “ASEAN S&T Fellowship” and is under the direction of the Jakarta-based ASEAN Foundation. The fellowship supports ASEAN priorities and goals by bridging the science-to-policy gap, synthesizing scientific information for use in national-level strategy development and policy-making processes.   

Fellows will be chosen from across the ASEAN region to be hosted by a government ministry in their home country to advance science-based decision-making. To improve the professional skills of the selected Fellows, PROGRESS invites qualified offerors to submit proposals to supply and deliver capacity development in area of communication and leadership.  The schedule for this Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) is as follows:

·         EOI and Q&A deadline: April 11, 2018

·         Q&A answers distributed to all bidders: April 13, 2018.

·         Proposal submission deadline: April 23, 2018
