Consultant for Preparing Regional/National Events and Documenting the Learning Documents/Tools of AgriFin Mobile Program

Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia’s AgriFin Mobile Program will end on 31 August 2018. Over the past six years, the AgriFin Mobile program has developed and facilitated two business models in partnership with the private sector, government, farmer institutions, and local traders:

  • (1) Agriculture Financing Model for Corn farmers in Sumbawa Island, and
  • (2) Bundle of Branchless Banking and Loans for Smallholder Farmers in Malang, Banyuwangi and Southeast Aceh Districts and Lombok Island.
It is planned that the good practices and lessons learned that have been obtained in connection with these two business model during the implementation of the program will be disseminated and shared with relevant national and local stakeholders, in the form of regional events, national events, and video production. Included in this plan is documenting all the learning documents and tools, both those produced by Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia’s AgriFin Mobile Program and those published by other institutions. In connection with this objective, Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia’s AgriFin Mobile Program requires a fulltime consultant to prepare plans for implementation of national and regional events, production of videos about the beneficiaries related to the two business models facilitated by the program, and documentation of all learning documents/tools generated by Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia’s AgriFin Mobile Program. The selected consultant will work together with the Indonesia AgriFin Program Director during the period July – August 2018.

Purpose and Target Audience
To ensure that the planned implementation of regional and national events to disseminate the good practices and lessons learned obtained during the implementation of the AgriFin Mobile Program proceeds to the relevant national and local stakeholders as per the work plan that has been prepared by Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia’s AgriFin Mobile Program. In addition, learning documents/tools, including production of videos on beneficiaries related to the two business models to support implementation of dissemination of good practices and lessons learned to relevant national and local stakeholders, will also be available as per the time that has been planned.

Key Activities
  • Prepare work plan for implementation of regional and national events;
  • Prepare ToR for Consultant for production of two videos on beneficiaries relevant to the two business models facilitated by the AgriFin Mobile Program;
  • Monitor the preparation of the story boards (Script, Text, Visual) for the two videos on beneficiaries and implementation of production of the videos to be in line with the work plan and the specified quality;
  • Prepare ToR for implementation of regional and national events related to the two business models facilitated by the AgriFin Mobile Program in coordination with Program’s partners.
  • Lead process of preparation for and implementation of regional and national events in coordination with Indonesia AgriFin Program Director and Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia’s Operation and Procurement Team;
  • Prepare report on implementation of regional and national events;
  • Make visits to project locations as per the plan approved by the Indonesia AgriFin Program Director;
  • Document learning documents and tools of the AgriFin Mobile Program, both those that have been generated by the Program and those published by other institutions, based on the guidance of the Indonesia AgriFin Program Director;
  • Other duties as assigned by Indonesia AgriFin Program Director.

Deliverables
  • Workplan for the regional and national events.
  • ToR for two videos production consultant.
  • ToR for the regional and national events.
  • Implementation reports of regional and national events.
  • Documentation of Program’s learning documents and tools.

Necessary Skills/Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experiences working in communication in agricultural sector and financial services for smallholder farmers in Indonesia.
  • Experience working with private sector and experience with commercial bank, rural bank and farmer organizations would be an advantage.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, both in Bahasa and in English.
  • Ability to work promptly and deliver program deliverables on tight deadline.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Fully computer literate and technology savvy, knowledge of design, video and photo-editing software is an advantage.
  
Timeframe
The Consultant shall complete the duties described in the scope of work from July 9th, 2018 – August 31th, 2018.
Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia will provide the consultant with all existing documentation related to the TOR upon request.
