Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik seek YOUTH AND CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAM MANAGER based in Greater Jakarta

Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik partner of Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better.  We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik.  To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:


YOUTH AND CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAM MANAGER – ARSENAL & Program for Refugee
1 position, based in GreaterJakarta

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Youth and Child Protection Program Manager will lead all activities and oversee of YSTC’s youth and child protection programs under the operations of Greater Jakarta Office. Currently, there are 2 Programs run with specific focuses on youth resilience and child protection: the FUTSAL Project ARSENAL funded and the Program for Refugee UNHCR funded; which potentially to grow with more programs in the future. This position will be based out in our Greater Jakarta Office in Jakarta. Programme implementation duties include ensuring all program activities are implemented according to plan and at a high-level of quality; all reporting and planning is completed in a timely manner and at a high-quality; all communications are completed in a timely and accurate manner; we coordinate well with key external stakeholders; all child safeguarding controls are enforced; and financial and administrative management adheres to YSTC’s and donor’s policies, regulations, and good practices. This technical Program Manager role will also lead on technical sector planning in the field office and ensure we advocate with key government stakeholders to achieve positive changes using evidence from our program work as the basis. S/he will represent YSTC in Greater Jakarta area; and support program development and emergency preparedness and response. The position will require travel to field locations and support for hosting donor visits. The post holder is a member of the Extended Management Team (EMT) which may be invited to lead or participate in cross functional groups and will participate in EMT meetings as planned.

In line with guidance provided by ILT, the post holder will contribute to building the most positive and affirming work environment possible and promoting culture of the organisation that is aligned with the mission, evolving goals and strategic ambitions aligned with the Membership Accountability Framework.
The post holder will also contribute to the standards as noted in the Prospect Member Framework as follows:
  • Responsible/Support on-going development and emergency programming of the existing portfolio in Indonesia with focus on education programs in order to achieve ambitious breakthroughs for children,
  • Ensuring continued development & management of a high performing program team.
  • Contributing to the development of strong partnerships.
  • Contribute to effective advocacy for children and collaborate with other departments to implement advocacy initiatives that support the theory of change.
  • Helping to build a strong brand for the organization by ensuring compliance with global brand procedures and awareness of brand in local market.
  • Contribute to ensuring financial sustainability and growth orientation in the funding portfolio.

    The post holder will contribute on achievement of the global KPIs on Operations Delivery, and contribute to achievement of global KPI’ as follows:
  • Awards management
  • Risks and financial management
  • Global Management Indicators
