Background

MSF is Médecins Sans Frontières /Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an international independent humanitarian medical organization which aims to deliver emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare, offering assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation and whose actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of neutrality and impartiality as stated out in the MSF Charter. Médecins Sans Frontières is now seeking for its Banten Project a highly qualified candidate to fill in the position of Data Processing Officer based in Labuan.

Main Purpose

Carry out all activities related to entry of medical data into the mission database, according to MSF protocols and maintaining confidentiality, in order to have reliable and up to date information. Carrying out, registering of all orders, deliveries and data concerning medical stocks according to MSF standards and procedures, and producing the appropriate, updated documents for the supply team in order to support the logistical team.

Accountabilities

Enter medical data (e.g. patient data, dates of visit, content of assessments, follow-ups, etc.) in mission’s database on a regular basis and according to MSF protocols. Participate in compilation of data both from MSF structures and from collaborating health facilities. Participate in the search for missing data. Update files of existing patients and make any corrections needed. Make regular back-ups of all data processed. Look after all equipment provided and keep recording area clean and tidy, giving special importance to all patient files. Report any issue concerning data management to superior Ensure, promote and maintain confidentiality regarding all information registered. Assisting the MAM/PC and logistics in identifying any items at risk of rupturing or expiring- referring to logistics/supply team. Discusses progress with the MAM/PC on a daily basis, reporting to the rest of the logistics/supply team at the weekly team meeting. Receiving and registering data sheets from the MSF medical and logistical departments' reporting on consumption. Reporting to the MAM/PC on any issues regarding drug consumption data and other questions (names of drugs used, unclear writing, missing information). When applicable, receiving the new monthly donation sheets and communicating them to the supervisor. Reporting duties: identification (in close relation with the supervisor and suppliers) of potential stock risks, stock level and average expiring terms and availability.

Requirements
Education	Secondary Education/Nursing/Computer/Mass Communication degree
Experience	Minimum 3 years previous experience in similar relevant position jobs.
Languages	Proficiency in English is a must
Knowledge Priority	Computer programming, (Microsoft system (Word, PPT, Excel, Programmer data) Knowledge of other local language is desirable (aside from Bahasa Indonesia)   Preferably domiciled around Banten
