Be part of a dynamic working environment. We are recruiting Program
Manager position under Oxfam one programme approach with a real commitment
to gender equality and International aid and development background. This
post will be based in Jakarta for fixed term contract with possible
extension.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
PROJECT MANAGER - CREATING SPACES (code: PMCS 0318)

JOB PURPOSE:

The job holder will manage the implementation of the Canadian Government
funded project entitled “Creating Spaces: Taking Action on Violence
against Women and Girls and Child Early Forced Marriage” implemented in
Indonesia. She/he will work together and support two local CSOs to ensure
efficient and effective delivery of the project. He/she will also play a
role in linking up with Oxfam Canada and Oxfam’s similar project in
Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and the Philippines and other gender
issues in Indonesia. A high quality of ongoing project cycle. She/he will
make coordination and delivery of agreed plans and/or strategies and
comply the quality of project performance and solving complex problem
proactive and reactive. He/she also will support clear and quality reports
(financial and narrative) that demonstrate good accountability projects in
gender equality. She/he will directly report to Programme Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting partners proposal preparation process, ensuring based on wide
consultation with relevant parties (including most marginalized) and prior
learning
To identify partners capacity development needs and support options
(across partners, organizational, individual)
Assisting partners on data analyses to identify areas of progress and for
improvement and prepare quality reports, document and disseminate
achievements, lessons learned and good practice at provincial level so
that they have an influencing impact
Appraising and overseeing the dispersal of partner grants ensuring
compliance with working agreements, program management standards and
proposal documents and mechanisms for accountability to constituents
Together with Program Coordinator and MEL & quality team to ensure
effective MEL systems and process
Ensuring the accuracy Management Information System (MIS) and routinely
checking of the database to provide advice on areas for improvement to
program management
Ensuring the effectiveness of project financial with Finance Officer
coordination
Undertake or facilitate mentoring, utilizing a strong peer learning
approach that draws on expertise of other partners involved in the program
and local expertise
Planning, organizing and facilitating workshops and training as required
Leading the campaign and advocacy initiatives as required by the program
design
Building alliance and network with wider stakeholders and play role in
link up and shared the program learning with other countries
Managing relation and coordination with Oxfam Canada related to project
achievements and taking part and contribute to the fund raising
initiatives

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

A university degree (essential) and/or Master degree in gender and social
development, Human Rights or International Development is preferable
At least 5 (five) years experience in managing program and/or projects
Demonstrated experience and capacity to engage and motivate others to
support gender equality
Extensive proven implementation of development, monitoring and evaluation
frameworks and systems is preferably
Proven experience and capacity to engage and motivate others towards the
achievement of gender equality objectives
Extensive knowledge of CSO, WRO, government and donor development agenda’s
and priorities in Indonesia and extensive professional networks
Proven expertise related to any computer assisted Project Management
system
Proven knowledge and experience of creating change, both through working
in partnership with other organisations and direct implementation
Proven Knowledge and experience in campaign and advocacy in depth
understanding of community and Indonesia gender equality issues and their
inter-relationships
Experience in development and implementation CSO and WRO support programs

Facilitation of workshop, and mentoring support for capacity building of
CSOs with high level analytical skills and ability to think strategically
Have passion in gender equality, women & child rights with real
implementation on project deliverables
Proven experience on high level reporting skills to deliver outputs to
agreed deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both bahasa Indonesia
and English
Computer literacy particularly MS Office and e-mail usage
Fluent in verbal and written English and demonstrated experience
communicating in these languages with a variety of audiences
