partners, under two clusters, OPEN and GREEN, and is active in networking,
lobbying and exchanging knowledge and expertise.

Consultant to support its communications and outreach initiatives in
particularly for its Strategic Partnership on Green and Inclusive
Energy

1. Background
Strategic
Partnership on Green and Inclusive Energy (SP-GIE) is a multi-stakeholder
partnership launched in 2016 between Hivos and three national civil society
organisations who envision that Indonesia’s energy should be green and it
should be inclusive. Supported by the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
the partnership believes that Indonesia can secure its energy while
simultaneously open its access for all people, including women, to support
productivity.
The
partnership sees that the needs and access of energy will be delivered through
a clean energy system that is inclusive, which not only creates economic
opportunities but also reducing gas emission, thus mitigating climate change.
To do this, Hivos work with Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR),
Yayasan Lembaga Konsumen Indonesia (YLKI), and Koalisi Perempuan Indonesia
(KPI) focusing on lobby and advocacy work together with media and other key
stakeholder. In order to elevate SP-GIE public awareness, the hub has
identified the needs to develop a series of publications comprising latest
activities of the partnership, profiling of each SP-GIE partners and stories
from the field.
2. Objective
The Multimedia Consultant will support SP-GIES’s
outreach initiatives in building social awareness of the partnership by
developing relevant visibilities and layout, visual graphic design, photography services (if needed), and
other digital outlook needed for its work programme in 2019.
3.
Scope of Work
3.1 Provision
of visual graphic design for SP-GIE’s publications consist but not limited to
series of infographics on consumer’s guide for renewable energy, and factsheet
on the benefits of using renewable energy among others:

Develop visual concept of visibilities needed and
design benchmarking
·
Ensure the concept above is in line with Hivos’ Brand
Guideline
·
Coordinate the printing and production of the said
publications/ factsheet
3.2 Profiling of SP-GIE and its partners
·
Develop a concept of
visibilities needed for SP-GIE partners e.g. backgrounder, brochures and social
media graphics among others
·
Ensure the concept
above is in line with Hivos’ Brand Guideline
·
Coordinate the printing
and production of communication materials needed for this profiling

from the field

4. Deliverable(s)
The Consultant is expected to deliver the following during the contracted period of engagement:

develop for factsheet & social media
4.2. Layout and visual graphics needed to develop
five stories from the field, gained from the Outcome Harvesting of SP-GIE
5. Timeline and Working Arrangement
The
consultant will work for three months, upon signed contract with a possible
extension. The consultant is expected to be regularly present in Hivos SEA’s
office, and he/she is required to attend relevant events and other activities
conducted outside of Hivos SEA’s office if needed
6. Knowledge, experiences and competencies
We
are seeking a local (Indonesian) talent (preferably based in Greater Jakarta
area) with the following qualities:
- Affinity for Hivos’ vision and mission and are driven by a strong motivation to contribute to real and lasting change..
- Knowledge of and experience in the field of visual communications and graphic design
- High-level of creativity
- Ability to work independently (including self-sufficiency in providing necessary peripherals)
- A total of 5 years working experience in the field of multimedia/graphic design or experience in a similar working environment
- Familiarity in generating digital outlook for website and social media materials
- Innovative and flexible and able to work in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and international partners
