Available position in KOMPAK: Poverty Data Specialist

KOMPAK Program
KOMPAK is an Australia-Indonesia government partnership supporting the Government of Indonesia's efforts in reducing poverty through improvements in basic service delivery and creating opportunities for work. KOMPAK focuses its efforts on three result areas:
  1. Supporting Local Governments and Service Units to better address the needs of basic service users;
  2. Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from improved village governance; and
  3. Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from increased opportunities for employment and economic development.

The Opportunity
The main purpose of Poverty Data Specialist is to update the data, information and knowledge needed for developing SEPAKAT applications.

Key Duties
  • To update the data, information and knowledge needed in developing the SEPAKAT application
  • Identify the source or owner of the data needed by SEPAKAT, and develop a potential cooperation mechanism
  • Arranging protocols for updating the data mechanism in the SEPAKAT application, especially by the local government
  • Providing input for the development of module monitoring and evaluation concept and knowledge management in SEPAKAT
  • Developing concept of data, information and knowledge connectivity between the national and sub national governments, as well as between local governments
  • Complete other tasks in accordance with the direction of the Fiscal and PFM Transfer Leaders
 
Key Requirements
  • Degree in finance, mathematics, social studies with 8-year experiences in social development/poverty reduction program. Master’s degree is seen as an advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of poverty reduction programs and operations
  • Experience in multi-stakeholder relations and networking
  • Experience working with GoI and local government
  • Well experience in developing modules and conduct training in poverty tools such as P3BM, SEPAKAT etc.
  • Able to analyze and present complex information; strong presentation, communications and writing skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Proven record of strong performance working in teams (teamwork) as well as working independently to deliver quality work
  • Fluency in Bahasa and English languages
  • Understanding of gender equality and social inclusion issues
