Business Advisor - Indonesia

• Are you interested in assisting farmers to incorporate a factory/industry to process their agricultural products?

• Can you draft a business plan of processing factory of agricultural product with minimum investment of IDR 10 billion?

• Can you assist the farmers to realise the business plan to incorporate a processing factory?

Then we are looking for you. In the position as business advisor you support and advise farmer-led agribusinesses in the area of sound operational management.. The advisor analyses the client’s management performance and uses this analysis to contribute actively to develop steps for management improvement and for assisting the client in development and implementation of a sound business strategy and a bankable investment plan.

Focus areas

• Advice on governance and financial management, support to achieve a good working bookkeeping system and well running organisation;

• Advice on financial management towards a bankable client’s business plan;

• Business Development Service for profitable commercial activities of the clients;

• Advice on transparent business-geared governance of member-based clients (farmers’ cooperatives and companies) aiming at increased internal capitalisation;

• Establishing Agriterra activities in Indonesia and actively contribute to the goals of the Asia team.

• Contribute to the 2020 goals of Agriterra, i.e.. to build 5 processing factories of agricultural products with minimum investment of IDR 10 billion in Indonesia.

General conditions

• Frequent travels to the clients’ locations;

• Office located in Bandung;

• The advisor will be provided with a smart phone and laptop computer and access to Agriterra ICT network;

• There will be close cooperation and communication between other business advisors of team Indonesia about planning and exchange of information.

• Full-time contract.

Knowledge, experience and skills

• At least ten years’ experience in a comparable position in Indonesia;

• Expertise through education and work experience in agribusiness and private sector development;

• Strongly developed analytical abilities and commercial insight;

• A robust personality combined with the ability to work independently;

• Demonstrable experience in client-friendly and result-oriented service provision;

• Knowledge of and ability to use training and communication techniques effectively;

• Good knowledge of the following languages: English and Bahasa Indonesia.
