Partner, “Yakkum” located in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia but reporting
and communication lines would lie with Christian Aid”. The candidate selected
will be given Christian Aid's consultancy agreement.

Christian Aid is working with its partners in Indonesia to
respond to humanitarian crisis. Our emergency programmes promote access to just
and equitable resources and support the creation of resilient and thriving
livelihoods for disaster and crisis affected communities. This role is for
ensuring emergency support to the Indonesia earthquake as part of Christian
Aid’s emergency programme.
We are looking forward to a candidate with;
Bachelors in Social Sciences, administration or related
field; Minimum Eight years of experience in the field of Humanitarian Response
(HR), recovery and reconstruction, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate
Change adaptation (CCA); Able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding,
experience and practice of humanitarian values and principles and able to
motivate others to achieve results in complex situations without much
supervision; Good skills on context analysis, damage assessment and needs
analysis; data analysis and interpretation; Good project development and report
writing skill; Good spoken and written English; Effective verbal and written
communications and interpersonal skills.
Relevant post graduate degree in development or humanitarian
subject; Knowledge of the political, social and economic context of in general
Indonesia. Demonstrated experience of coordinating an
Alliance/Confederations/ Consortium etc. will be treated as added qualification.
Key deliverables:
Field operations of the Christian Aid Indonesia response,
rehabilitation and resilience programme are successfully managed, following
Christian Aid’s humanitarian policies and procedures and in line with the
agreed response plans.
Effective support provided to staff and partners to
implement timely and high quality humanitarian projects/programmes through
sound project cycle management and strong partner relationship management.
Timely submission of high quality programme documents
(including internal reports with all narrative and financial components and
contributions to external donor reporting).
Up to date situation reports, recommendations and analysis
of needs and gaps provided to Regional Emergency Manager-SEA on emerging crisis
or emergencies; rapid needs assessments conducted where required.
Christian Aid is represented at all relevant levels in the
national, provincial and local levels of the country to achieve proper
coordination and relations with government, other humanitarian actors and
donors, as well as participate in debates on humanitarian response and disaster
reduction.
