Background

Yayasan ADRA Indonesia is an Agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The mission of the agency is to serve humanity so all may live as God intended. ADRA Indonesia belongs to the worldwide ADRA network, comprised of more than 120 supporting and implementing country offices.

 

Since March 2020, ADRA Indonesia has focus its Covid-19 response projects to assist elderly in East Java, West Java and Sulawesi to enable elderly people to stay at home and prevent them from being exposed to Covid-19. Starting June 2021, ADRA Indonesia has focus its Covid-19 response program to enable Elderly to have more access to vaccine and support government efforts on prioritizing elderly in vaccination program to reduce mortality rate because of Covid-19.

 

Functions of role

 

The main role of PM is to manage every aspect of Elderly First (ELFi) Project, including building partnership with government at national and sub-nationals’ level, coordinating with other INGOs and National NGOs, managing fundraising and to ensure volunteers in conducting the outreach of Elderly are observing health protocols and adhering to ADRA policies.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The PM will work under the supervision and to support Program Director to bring thousands of elderly people to get vaccine that contribute to reduce mortality rate during the Covid-19 pandemic. The PM is required to undertake the following tasks:

 

·       Managing program team and work with consultant to conduct Barrier Analysis and to design Social and Behavior Change strategy

·       Ensure the project team and volunteers have sound knowledge of SBC strategy that will contribute to their effective communication and assisting elderly to get vaccination.

·       Managing the team and volunteers to conduct outreach with effective implementation of communication plan and assist elderly to get 1st and 2nd doses of vaccine in timely.

·       Work with key stakeholders to manage national campaign of Elderly First that aims to increase number of elderly people to get vaccination.

·       Managing project team in conducting fund raising that will support the volunteers to continue to reach more elderly people to get vaccine.

·       Ensure project implementing is adhere to minimum humanitarian standards and ensure the operation adhere to humanitarian core principles

·       Work with MEAL officer to monitor the progress and adapt the approach as required, including the fulfilment of project design, following donors’ and partners’ procedures and guidelines

·       Provide regular reports, including quality and timely final report to Program Director as required by donor.

 

Qualifications and Competencies Required

·       A bachelor or master degree in public health, social science or disaster risk reduction related field.

·       Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in humanitarian sector preferable experience in managing projects related on Health or WASH.

·       Sound knowledge and experience in managing the projects related on Covid-19 response or managing disaster risk reduction related projects

·       Demonstrate good knowledge of humanitarian principles and standards, including architecture of Covid-19 response in Indonesia

·       Ability to establish and maintain contacts with government senior officials, to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for effective advocacy and influence policy makers

·       Solid knowledge and experience in project management and financial resources management, including managing volunteers.

·       Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
