Yayasan Plan International Indonesia is presently implementing its country strategic 4 (CS 4) covering fiscal year 2017 to 2022, where the country objective has been defined as “to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society”. The organisation’s purpose is to “strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls”. This goal will be achieved by providing technical support and implementing quality programs and projects through partnership. An effective and efficient communications strategy is a must for Plan Indonesia to share the outcomes of these projects to influence different actors, specially state authorities and to position Plan’s profile within and outside at different levels – starting from community, sub district, district to national, regional and international levels.  Yayasan Plan International Indonesia invites highly competent, experienced and committed professionals to fill the following position :

Corporate Partnership Coordinator         

BACKGROUND

Plan International Indonesia is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. Working together with children, young people, our supporters, and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. We enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national, and global levels using our reach, experience, and knowledge. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years and are now active in more than 77 countries.
Plan International Indonesia as a national entity has been implementing its local fundraising to support the organization’s income in delivering our mission. To date, corporate and local institutional fundraising has been contributing 50% of the local income and is expected to have 10-20% annual growth to be able to fulfill the target in the business plan. To reach this target, the Corporate Fundraising team needs to grow and strengthen its strategy and team in acquiring and securing more corporate and local institutional partnerships.  
In the competitive market where other NGOs have started doing fundraising 10-15 years prior, Plan Indonesia must enter the market with the most innovative ways and bring about the fundraising programs and products that are distinctive, valuable, and impactful.
The Corporate Partnership Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical support targeting corporate and institutional donors for donor servicing functions, particularly in the area of donor acquisition and retention. She/he will work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager to perform the tasks and achieve the fundraising target and uphold the accountability and high performance of donor servicing. 


DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE

Reporting to Senior Manager for Corporate and HNWI, this position will be responsible for co-developing/adjusting and delivering high performance and accountable donor servicing business process. The key roles of this position are as follows:

  • Donor Acquisition: Conduct mapping and analysis of potential partnerships with corporate and local institutions donors that strategically fit with Plan Indonesia’s Corporate Strategy and Partnership Strategy. This includes technical analysis of donors’ priority/trend of their social issues/programs (CSR priority issues/impact areas) and regularly updating the list of potential donors; establishing new partnerships with potential donors, and proceeding partnership business process with new donors/existing donors.
  • Donor Retention: Co-develop retention business process/SOP along with the Corporate Partnership Manager and deliver effective communication with existing donors to establish good relationships and pursue new or sustaining current partnerships through various approaches and engagement. Coordinate with Program Team and Operation Team to ensure project implementation reports and accountability is delivered to donors.
  • Tracking, Monitoring, and Internal Reporting: Support data and update for tracking income, pipelines periodically using the established funding tracking system. Provide reports to relevant internal stakeholders. 
  • Internal Partnership and People Management: Maintaining effective working relationships with Plan International team, these include Plan Indonesia team, Plan International Offices, Fundraising Global and Regional hub, as well maintaining good teamwork for the effective and productive team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  

Donor Acquisition

  • Supporting Corporate Partnership Manager to develop/adjust the business process/SOP of Donor Acquisition to ensure it is effective and accountable.
  • Conduct mapping and analysis of potential partnerships with corporate and local institutions donors that strategically fit with Plan Indonesia’s Corporate Strategy and Partnership Strategy by conducting a technical analysis of donors’ priority/trend of their social issues/programs (CSR priority issues/impact areas) and regularly updating the list of potential donors.
  • Establish new partnerships with potential donors by regularly approaching potential donors through various channels including email, meeting calls, online and offline events, Plan Indonesia media channels such as LinkedIn.
  • Proceed partnership business process with new donors/existing donors which include: creating & preparing due diligence and GO NO GO analysis, legal agreement (MoU), and organizational policies to be signed such as Safeguarding and Code of Ethics.

Donor Retention

  • Co-develop retention business process/SOP along with the Corporate Partnership Manager to achieve good relationships and pursue new or sustaining partnerships.
  • Establish effective communication with existing donors which include providing regular updates related to the current partnership implementation and organizational major-public updates through various means of effective communication such as email, official WhatsApp group, LinkedIn, News Letter, and Regular Donor Events.
  • Conduct regular donor events including concept design and execution in close coordination with the Corporate Partnership Manager and Marketing & Communication team.       
  • Coordinate with Program Team and Operation Team to ensure project implementation reports and accountability is delivered to donors.
  • Coordinate with Influencing/Communication Team to ensure a set of agreed communication deliverables (kontraprestasi) are delivered in a timely manner according to donor compliance, including supporting content as necessary.
  • Maintain and regularly update the donor database using the established donor database system. 

Tracking, Monitoring, and Internal Reporting:

  • Support data and update for tracking income, pipelines periodically using the established funding tracking system.
  • Provide on-time regular updates and reports to the Corporate Partnership Manager.
  • Provide and contribute updates & reports to corporate partnership regional’s reporting tools.
  • Ensures quality standards of document keeping, retrieval, and sharing mechanism particularly legal documents related to the partnership with donors.  

Internal Partnership and People Management:

  • Maintaining effective working relationships with Plan International team, these include Plan Indonesia team, Plan International Offices, Fundraising Global and Regional hub, as well maintaining good teamwork for the effective and productive team.
  • Adheres to RACI (Responsibility, Accountability, Consult and Inform) to coordinate with other units/departments in delivering the work.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GESI)

  • Ensure that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in the partnership business process and as principles applied in day-to-day work.
  • Participate actively in capacity building and learning events on Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion.
  • Submit any relevant required documentation (reports, checklists, action plans) to implement policy, standards, and approach on Safeguarding and GESI.  
  • Understand and put into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GESI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed by the appropriate procedures.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Internal Relationship

  1. With Corporate Partnership Manager, Partnership Specialist, and Resource Mobilization team for consultation, providing updates and reports.
  2. With CMT for providing insights on strategy development and Go-No-Go Process.
  3. With the Program Team for collaboration and coordination during all processes of project/program handover, regular implementation updates, and reporting.
  4. With Country Finance Manager, and Finance team, for coordination in income and expenses reconciliation.  
  5. With Communications and Influencing Team to deliver communication deliverables (kontraprestasi) as agreed with donors.
  6. With the Resource Mobilization team to ensure the alignment of strategy.
  7. With PIA and Sponsorship manager to ensure sponsored children get the maximum benefit from Corporate Partnership effort.
External Relationship
  1. With potential donors from the private/corporate sector and local institutions.
  2. With private sector associations, social enterprises, international organizations (UN Agencies, World Bank, and ADB), and other international entities.
  3. With the Fundraising Global and Regional hub and Global Partnership Team.


TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

 Essential

  1. Undergraduate degree in social sciences, economics, social welfare, international relations/developments, English Literature, and relevant field in Marketing, Sales, and Business Development.  
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in CSR/sustainability sector, fundraising, or similar jobs in not-for-profit organizations/NGOs/INGOs
  3. Knowledge of funding opportunities especially in the corporate CSR and diverse institutional donors’/ development partners.
  4. Demonstrate experiences in research, database management, and handling events both virtual and offline
  5. Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  6. Excellent time management skills to deliver quality work, able to lead processes and coordinate between a wide range of actors to meet tight deadlines.
  7. Meticulous, disciplined, has attention to detail and ability to provide critical feedback for quality improvement.
  8. Representational skills, able to present information concisely and effectively to external actors
  9. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
  10. Excellent people skills, team builder, and enthusiastic team worker.
  11. Customer focussed approach to all duties.
  12. Demonstrated knowledge of gender transformative approach, gender-based violence, child rights, and inclusion.

Desirable

  1. 2 years of experience working in a similar position in INGOs/National Foundations.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of corporate social responsibility and social impacts/enterprise
  3. Demonstrated work experience in humanitarian and development settings.
  4. Extensive knowledge of development and humanitarian landscapes and actors.
