Program Overview
WRI Indonesia considers communication as an integral part of the program design and delivery, a central part of what we do to create desired changes and scale our impact. In communicating its research and seizing opportunities, WRI Indonesia will put forth its research through owned media channels, such as blog posts, op-eds, Twitter and podcasts; earned media channels, such as mainstream media and event. In doing so, visual communications play a critical role in translating WRI Indonesia’s findings in a format that is understood by our key stakeholders.
General Internship Roles
WRI Indonesia is seeking a graphic design intern who will support the communications team on daily basis. The intern will support graphic design activities, including designing communications materials, including but not limited to infographics, animations, banners, backdrop, posters, booklets, flyers, books, calendars, cards, reports, and power point slide deck. The intern will also have the opportunity to be involved in the creative process with other WRI Indonesia programs in cross-cutting issues during the internship period.
Internships at WRI Indonesia are learning experiences designed for anyone who wishes to gain knowledge about a specific area of our work. We strive to attract diverse, intellectually-driven candidates who have enthusiasm for sustainability and development. This internship is remotely based, with opportunity to work from WRI Indonesia Jakarta office if possible.
Learning Outcomes
The intern will gain experience in the following areas:
· Learning about and exposed to graphic design activities for various sustainable development topics, including forest, climate, cities, ocean, and energy
· Supporting creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based and animated communications materials
· Supporting design and layout communications materials and collaterals for programs and office events, presentations, social media and website, including but not limited to infographics, animations, banners, backdrop, posters, booklets, flyers, books, calendars, cards, reports and power point slide deck
· Supporting outreach materials development
· Assisting with meetings and other external communication tasks
Qualifications
· Final year student/fresh graduate in graphic design, fine arts, media and communications, or related fields
· Excellent skill in Adobe CC suite and other graphic design applications
· Good knowledge of video editing software
· Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English
· Demonstrate ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
· Ability to work calmly, efficiently, and enthusiastically under tight deadlines
· Ability to think critically and creatively
· Highly responsible, self-motivated
· Strong time management skills to assure timely delivery of works
Duration
This is paid internship program for 3 (three) to 6 (six) months period.

Any information and data obtained by the consultant under this project are subject to confidential agreement that must be signed by contractor before the commencement of this project.
Must have authorization to work in Indonesia to be eligible for this position.
