Face to Face Fundraising Manager

BACKGROUND

Plan International has been working in Indonesia since 1969 and has officially become Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (Plan Indonesia) in 2017. We work to fight for the advance of children's rights and the equality of girls. Plan Indonesia implements its activities through four programs namely, Child Development and Protection, Adolescent Health and Agency, Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship, and Humanitarian and Emergency Response. We work in 7 provinces, including East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Central Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, DKI Jakarta, Central Java and West Java, with a target to empower 1 million girls. Furthermore, Plan Indonesia also sponsored 36.000 girls and boys in East Nusa Tenggara.

 

To achieve our mission and strategies, as local entity, Plan Indonesia is aiming to reach wider audience as well as to raise fund to potential donors through various channels such as face to face (F2F) fundraising, corporation and institutional giving.

On its fourth year of fundraising, Plan Indonesia has faced milestones and challenges enough to draw insights for further improvement as it aims to grow its donor base. The gains over the past years demonstrate how F2F fundraising has been the main driver of income of local fundraising. This best practice shall continue in 2023 to maintain fundraising growth and organization goals. Plan Indonesia seeks to grow its F2F operations by recruiting an experience face to face fundraising background and skill set to fill vacant position within Plan Indonesia.

ROLE PURPOSE

Face to Face Fundraising Manager will be responsible to implement face to face fundraising program of getting committed regular donors and oversee Face to Face Fundraising to ensure that the plan and target are met.


DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE

  1. Develop and implement strategies for solicitation that will grow annual revenue from F2F fundraising program.
  2. Manage income and expenditure budgets and forecasts for F2F fundraising programs.
  3. Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensure internal capability is efficient, meeting best practice and continuously improved to meet changing conditions.
  4. Ensure face to face fundraising activation comply with Plan Indonesia policies (anti-fraud policy, data privacy policy, code of ethic and any internal policies that applied)
  5. Prepare F2F team recruitment and drive the growth of the F2F fundraising program can meet fundraising goals based on Country Strategies.
  6. Manage performance and development of sub-ordinate, through regular feedback, supervision, supporting, learning and the Performance development review process.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

Program Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation
1.    Lead F2F fundraising function.
2.    Develop and implement an action plan to meet F2F fundraising target.
3.    Oversee and continuous improvement of F2F fundraising KPI : number of individual donors recruited, number of fundraisers and venue management.
4.    Assist in managing relations with vendors including supervising deliverables, schedule, quotation and invoices and ensure these tasks comply with Plan Indonesia operation standard.
5.    Provide monthly monitoring reports for the progress of F2F fundraising 
6.    Ensure that all F2F fundraiser/team member get the mandatory training on safeguarding, etc and conduct the refresh training on regular basis.

Communication and Influencing
To ensure the F2F Fundraising able to represent Plan Indonesia in public area in a professional manner and behaviour and deliver organization messages correctly and aligned with organizational campaign as well as brand guideline.

Financial and Administration 

Support the Face-to-Face Fundraising to oversee and administer the day-today activities of the project; follow the policies, procedures, and systems of Plan Indonesia which ensure productive and efficient office operation

Safeguarding of Children and Young People  
Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Internal

  1. Senior Manager for Individual Fundraising: direct report and provide strategic support
  2. Face to Face Fundraising Event Specialist: supervision, provide technical support, mentoring, and capacity building
  3. Face to Face Fundraising Training and Development Specialist: coordinate and working together to develop communication and campaign
  4. Face to Face Fundraising Admin : supervision, provide technical support to ensure the business process in place and effective.

External

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor degree related field
  • Minimum 4-5 years in leading a big fundraiser team
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Indonesian language
  • Ability to manage large teams
  • Negotiation and monitoring skills
  • Ability to set and meet fundraising objectives including demonstrated results in donor/customer acquisition
  • Ability to develop individual fundraising strategies and plans.
  • Highly motivated and energetic, ability to show initiative and work independently;
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors;
  • Ability to handle diverse, simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy.
