The project “Land-and Seascape Solutions for Indonesia (LASSO)” aims at developing and deploying an ecosystem approach for land and seascapes in at least three regions in Indonesia. As such, its focus lies on biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration, including efforts to strengthen the sustained provision of eco-system services, strengthen blue and green economies as pathways to sustainable development, including agroforestry, aquaculture, and the promotion of ecotourism.
As the LASSO project is on the preparation phase, one of its objectives is to harmonize the Indonesia Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (IBSAP) with Indonesia's blue economy concept and mainstreaming the results into the next national development plan. Currently, other GIZ project as so called Climate and Biodiversity Hub in Indonesia (ClimB) also works with BAPPENAS to develop Indonesia Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (IBSAP), LASSO will contribute to develop marine/aquatic aspect in IBSAP main indicator.
GIZ LASSO project is currently seeking a Contractor (Consulting Firm/Company/Organization) for assessing the synchronization of blue economy in biodiversity strategy and action plan as well as exploring marine/aquatic indicator to represent the biodiversity.
