in Indonesia. Yayasan WWF Indonesia, an independent national
conservation organization, is part of a global network of WWF. Yayasan
WWF Indonesia is seeking the best candidate for the Sustainable Finance Specialist position. This position will be based in Jakarta, and report directly to the Sustainable Finance Program Lead.
In
carrying out their duties, this position will support Sustainable
Finance Program Manager and the team to manage work and/ or projects
covered in the program. The program covers works/ projects to provide
capacity building and technical assistance to the financial institutions
and financial regulators on ESG integration and/ or green financial
solutions. The Sustainable Finance Specialist will be tasked to
initiate, build, engage, advocate, maintain, and enhance the
sustainability performance of the targeted financial institutions
towards the best practices available in the market that is based on
science. The Specialist is expected to be independent and reliable in
maintaining the quality of work in supporting activities such as
research, analysis, development, and refining existing material using
the latest science/business case/ facts recognized in the market. In
addition, the Specialist is expected to be able to work independently as
well as a collaborative team colleague. In addition, activities such as
administration, financial reporting, neat monitoring, and reporting,
developing or maintaining the database, and workshop/ conference/
meeting arrangements are attributive to this role
Requirements for this position are:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in economy, finance, agriculture, energy, or law.
- Minimum experience in the relevant sector of at least 5 years. To have an experience in the finance sector or in economics research work.
- Good writing, research, and analytical skills are preferred. To demonstrate to have an innovative and adaptive mindset having good knowledge of specific sectors such as Agriculture and Energy is also a big plus.
- National and international environmental and social safeguards
- Strong data analytical skills
- Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English is very important.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team and ability to work proactively.
- Having sufficient knowledge of certain sustainable finance tools.
- Following the latest development in sustainability world not limited to sustainable finance.
- Good standards of integrity
- National and international environmental and social safeguards.
